Firefox RULES!!!!!!!11111111eleventyone

I just got rid of IE 7 for Firefox. I love the tab feature, Firefox is so much faster, and prettier, erasing stuff from the history is a breeze and the spell checker makes me warm and toasty inside.
I keep asking myself why I stayed with IE for so long. I came to the conclusion that I am a moron.

When making a web site, web designers usually don't even take IE into consideration anymore. Can't even handle transparent PNG files.

That's balls.

Fluid 04-03-2007 09:13 AM

Firefox is good... but kind of ugly....

Statikk HDM 04-03-2007 09:31 AM

Its not ugly compared to IE. IE looks like crap to me now.

Havoc 04-03-2007 09:40 AM

I never take IE into account anymore when designing my websites. I hold by the official HTML standards and cross check it with the validator at W3.org. Page is entirely error free, I get a green light for the coding, Opera and FF both display it fine, and IE has trouble with tables, image sizes, making the entire website look messed up. It's almost hilarious.

Firefox is anoying it blocks things that I want to get on. [No, thats not pornographics.]

Havoc 04-03-2007 10:05 AM

If it blocks something there's usually an option to unblock it...

moxco 04-03-2007 10:08 AM

Yeah, I found that.

snuzi 04-03-2007 11:44 AM

I more used to IE than I am to Firefox. For some reason, I just can't get the hang of it.

Bullet Magnet 04-03-2007 01:08 PM

I got Firefox when Nortons screwed up my computer's ability to deal with all things Flash. That fixed it right up, but didn't help with my MSN games.

I use Firefox myself, and it's really good! Easy to erase history! ;)

Nate 04-03-2007 06:02 PM

I had to do some stuff on my mum's computer the other day and I have realised that IE7 sucks major balls. And not in a good way.

My only issue with firefox is that it occassionally freezes for several seconds whilst loading multiple pages.

Patrick Vykkers 04-03-2007 06:48 PM

There is a good way to suck major balls? Unless that's a gay joke involving the army.

Daxter King 04-03-2007 07:00 PM

I have Safari, quick and good looking.

Easy to erase history! ;)

Now, why would you need to erase your history so badly? ;)

Leto 04-03-2007 07:11 PM

I would use firefox, but you know... Tabs piss me off. Is there just a window option or do I have to open everything as a seperate window? Otherwise I'm stuck with shitballs IE.

Alf Shall Rise 04-03-2007 07:11 PM

Snuzi: Reasons. That only I should know. Shut up! We never had this conversation!

Safari is actually pretty good. I used to use it, myself.

Wil 04-04-2007 05:01 AM

I have been informed that OddBlog appears incorrectly in IE. The only possible reason it could do this is if IE adds 70% and 25% and arrives at a figure greater than 100%. Yes, IE sucks, blows, and just generally whaplodes. My only other option would be to CSS some nice ‘display: table’ attributes, but once again IE is unable to cope with them.

It’s no wonder that IE popularity is plummeting when it can’t even display websites properly.

moxco 04-05-2007 12:01 PM

How do you erase history?

Well, I just downloaded Firefox. I was happy to see I could import my bookmarks to it from Safari. It is a little faster, though not by much.

Rex Tirano 04-06-2007 05:36 PM

I use Firefox.

Simply because I'm computer illiterate.

Specifications are just pretty words to me. :)

I like firefox because of the skins...which make it not ugly.

the current skin I'm using now is an Ipod based one...very pretty

Venks 04-06-2007 07:31 PM

I love Firefox myself, used to use IE only because I didn't realise I had a choice.

Chubfish 04-07-2007 12:17 PM

Firefox is the only internet browser i use now and I only use IE if FF is acting funny, which mostly only ever happens to me.

Nate 04-07-2007 07:38 PM

Sometimes it's handy to use both. For instance, I have two gmail/google groups/etc accounts and I keep one logged in in either program. So the one I visit regularly is logged in on firefox and the one I only need to check once a week or so is in IE.

One thing that does piss me off is that when I take my laptop to uni, I need to change the proxy settings in IE also because many programs take them directly from IE. Even if I'm using the Quicktime plugin in Firefox; it won't work until I update the IE proxy settings.
