A Survey: Persons and Stuff like that
has anyone else written fics in both the first and the third person? when i first started writing 'Fragments...' people used to tell me how hard writing in the first person was, but i find 'Fragments...' a lot easier to write than UO.
i mean, i've been writing UO for months, and Fragments for only a couple of weeks, and already i've written 20 chapters of Fragments, compared to 43 of UO! it's probably because in UO i have to keep switching between characters, so its kinda hard to get into the writing, whereas with Fragments i can just start typing and not stop until my fingers get tired. so anyway, i was wondering what sorts of stories do other writers find it easiest to write? why? |
for me its third person. I guess that is mainly because I dont have zillions (ok slight exageration there, hehe) of characters to keep track of. I did almost write 'The Sin of One' in first person, but changed my mind.

Hmmm... I think its first, or second?? I should have been paying more attetion to the swedish lessons!!

hmmm, i've never heard of any story written in the second person before, except for that one by Simon Armitage.

Hm... I dunno. I find third person easier, but then maybe that's only because I haven't written much as first person before. Maybe I'll have a go at that...
I've half-read one book written in second person, but my head started to go round, and I got confused and gave up. I can't remember who it was by... |
Hmm...I guess third person, although the fic that I'm writing now is in first person. Ok, I take that back, I can write a lot more in first person than I can third. *Confused herself* Uh...yeah..first person.

hmm... yeah, i'm glad you agree, black. i find i can write more in 1st too.
