Things you should know about Oddworld...
 

As you might know, Oddworld Inhabbitants released a book that uncluded alot of oddworld-Art, and it was called: The Art Of Oddworld - The First Ten Years 1994-2004. I got it! It included some facts, that I think are fun to know...

* Lorne considered some different names for Abe: Aboman, Abraham Lure, Aben, Prophit and Monkfish. Lorne wanted to call him Monkfish, but everyone over at OWI printed pages with Abe's name on it and put it everywhere, in the men's bathroom, on Lorne's computer, in his drawers etc...

* Mudokons have 4 fingers, but it was changed to 3 because in Japan, showing 4 fingers is like putting up your middle finger in Amerika!

* Munch had the ability to transform into a Hulk-like form of himself. It was taken out of the game later...

* Snuzi isn't only the name of an Oddworldforum-member, it's also the name of a series of battle-equipment made for Sligs. 2 Other weapon-comnpanies are Blitz Packer and Lung Buster (Lung Buster also was a nice treat made by Vykkers!)

* Did you know that, when you turn Lulu's name backward, it says uluL?

* The Glukkon's have a queen! It's Maggie, ruler of her Kinto slaves!

You know, a lot of people already know about this. :rolleyes: And for those who don't have the book, you have now ruined it for them.

Haha, it's their own choice to read this... And well, how should I know you know all of this, I didn't before I got the book... And did you really know about the Lulu-fact?

The reason I know these facts is because I own the book. Like many of the other members, who probably don't care about these facts, as they already know them. And the uLul thing isn't really very special.

Dude, he found out some stuff he didn't know, was excited and decided to contribute to the board. Sure, it's stuff that most of us know already, but what if somebody reads this who DIDN'T know that? He was just trying to help out the community. You really need to stop nay-saying every post you read. This is a community for people who love Oddworld, not an ego-competition for teenagers needing a sense of self-worth by acting superior through a keyboard.

At last someone who understands my way of expression, thanks... I ordered the book via some German site, you should google for Ballistic Publishing... It's around 60 Euro's (don;t know how much dollars though), bit it's definitely worth it! The art is amazing, and there are alot of new things like creatures that didn't make it to the game and more...

I'm off. This'll just turn into a spamfest anyway. If he was so excited about posting them, how come he didn't search first to make sure we all knew in the first place. Look, I'm sorry if I hurt you ramonsk8. There, I said sorry. I'm not all that bad. ;)

I'm gonna have to agree with Jordan. Most of these facts are pretty obvious to Oddworld fans already, and the ones that aren't are listed in the First 10 Years Book or on Wikipedia. So, this thread is kinda pointless.

Ramonsk8, it's nice that you wanted to share your excitedness with your fellow forumites but it's considered better to create a thread when you want to know something than when you may be repeating well-known information.

posting stuff from the book is not tollerated
