Oblivion: Shivering Isles
Anyone downloading/buying this?
I'm currently downloading it, can't wait to play, it's at... 57 % now. |
Got it. Played it. Rocks. The Gatekeeper is a disappointment on normal setting or lower. (but I have level 27 with powerful weapons...) Anyway, it's very cool, and you're probably playing it right now as I can see you posted this about 7 hours ago. :D
Will get it when I have the spare $50 to buy the damn thing. Ridiculous, $50 for something you can't actually hold.
Guess what happened to all the other plugins I downloaded (about 3): I put my hard drive in someone elses Xbox so I could get them, as I dont have live, downloaded them then brought them back to my place. Thanks for the strict warning that it registers to the console it's downloaded on, Microsoft and Bethesda. Make me grumpypuss. |
Been playing all night, I'm very tired now, and I must say, it's awesome!
Sheogorath is PERFECTLY made, with all the twists and quirks of a true madman. And it's great to see Hungers and Golden Saints back in the game. Now, where's that Summon Golden Saint spell? XD Also, I felt terrible when I did that "Split" quest. You'll eventually see what I mean. And I think we might have a new Fargoth. Try to seek out Fimmion. Although he's MUCH more funny than Fargoth, and his ring. Make sure to bring some Sweetroll though XD. Fimmion is in either Crucible or Bliss, don't remember which. |
I wan't to get this, but I don't have live hooked up right now. I heard something about creating new weapons. are they anything cool?
Well, there's these two substances, Amber and Madness Ore, somewhat like Adamantium from TES3: Bloodmoon. They can be harvested, and turned into armour and weapons. Furthermore, there are these "Matrices", which can be used to make magical items.
Cool... So do you have a lot of them yet, or is it hard to carry these ores?
Can you get it for normal Xbox?
Nope. It's an expansion of TES IV: Olbivion for the X-Box 360, and the PS3, and the PSP. But Shivering Isles is only for the 360 as of right now.
I think you can buy Shivering Isles for the PC. Like how you could buy Knights of the Nine.
No you can't I called Game stop and they said as of now it's only download-able. Also I have it to and its only 31 dollars I think or something how about those crazy lines of dialog huh :)
You want a twig? Or like, you're making my teeth itch! I like dogs! You're boring, you don't like dogs. Yes, those crazy lines are very hilarious...
It looks cool, I’ve had fun with my 110 hours of playtime with oblivion so far, and shivering isles looks even cooler. But I’m really pissed off that the 360 version is only available online and not in a retail version I don’t have high speed internet so I can’t get it. >:(
I hope they’ll make an oblivion game of the year edition like they did with morrowind that includes the expansion. |
:
I wonder what the chances are of it actually happening?
Well, I think it depends on how poular it is on X-box live, and then if it is really popular, and lots of people buy it, then they might release it via 360 disk.
W00t! There's a Summon Golden Saint spell! Or, a Power, anyways :).
Heh, finished the main quest yesterday. It has a rather... Funny twist. Lets just say people look at me differently now. |
I know what you mean, Mojo. :D
I love this game but I am rather distressed because I LOST DAWNFANG! I was in the little cave city, and a dude hit me, and now its gone! I searched all other to see if I dropped it but nothing. Has this happened to any one else?
Probably just a glitch...
And I would like to know what happens when you finish the main quest, but I don't want others who'd rather not know about it to not know... So what happens? |
Also in relation to a previous post making weapons isn't that cool. Also the ore isn't hard to carry it's like carrying ingredients :)
Indeed, it's not as heavy as the Ebony from Morrowind.
Paramit of War, the enemies (especially the Flesh Atronachs) seem to be a lot stonger, having the equivalent of a Journeyman skill in a weapon skill. Meaning they can disarm you. Until The Shovering Isles, I have never been disarmed. So you just gotta keep looking in the general area where you lost the sword. It helps having Nighteye or Light. Finished most of the quests yesterday. Meaning I can't find anymore. 30 hours, my ass. even reverted to an older save to get the last Archievement, the one where you have to pick whether you wanna be Duke of Mania, or Duke of Dementia. |
I guess I have to look again for the sword then...
Also I found a pretty dam cool thing today. But I'll only tell, who ever talks to me on x box live :) PM if you want info. |
Bah, why not tell it here?
There's a few fun things in this game, for example: What's a Sheogorath themed game without our all-time-favourite weapon, the magnificent Fork of Horripilation! Can you hear its song?! You can be on fire! Yes! Constantly! And try it while being a stealthy character! Talk about Ninja on Fire! Halo anyone? :P Anyone else found funny things? |
Because I need someone to talk to while I play :)
Also my fun thing is, if your in a dark dungeon cave, if your sneaky enough you can just walk past the monsters. You can even push them and they don't notice. :) BTW my gamertag is Tut58 |
Looks quite awsome. Too bad I still have to get Oblivion period. At least I know the next thing I want.
Yeah, I really want it, but i've decided I won't get it until Bethseda fix the whole bug thing.
Which bug?
Got it for PC. The first thing I fell in love with was HOW THOSE AMPHIBIAN THINGS WADDLE AT YOU!
So awesomely great. Nothing more fufilling than looking at them scuttle toward you and giggling profusely. |
OK since I took back Oblivion Ill tell my secret. Jump on the roofs of crucible and you find some secrets...
