i decided to make a post for people to put their thanks to whatever/whoever got them onto oddworld in the 1st place

mine is duke nukem because i bought a box set that had 3 dukenukem games and oddworld abes oddysee so thats how i started playing plzz post urs

I want to thank my father for first purchasing AO, and allowing me to play it. If it wasn't for him, I probably would have never gotten into the series.

Thank you for adding an Oddworld Abe's Oddysee demo to your summer '97 disc. It started a long and interesting relationship.

That Bushido Blade demo was pretty sweet, too. But it didn't have the same kind of lasting power.

I would like to thank the video game merchandising company 'Game' for recommening that I buy the game (it was the release date as well).

Also, a great big thanks to Lorne and Sherry for cooking up the world of all things odd.

I would like to thank my mom for spoiling me so much. And because of that taking me to the video store to rent it :)

I would like to thank my bro, because he played it all the time, and when he moved out he left AO in my favour... and i thank my friends jess and kyle, because it was them that got me hooked not only on the game, but OWI themselves :)

My thanks would probably go to the family of old family friends, the mother of which knew my mom since high school, the daughter of which has been my best friend for my entire life, and the father of which got me into computers. It was from them that I got my Abe’s Oddysee CD for my 8th birthday, back in ’98.

I'd like my to thank my dad's friend for bringing Abe's Oddysee to my home and putting it on our computer. You may have returned to your drunken ways, but I'll always remember the Odd. Hope you get sober soon.

Thansk to my dad for purchasing AE, and when I forgot all about that game, thanks again to my dad for buying SW that totally sucked em into the world of Oddworld...

I'd like to thank my cousin for letting me play on his Playstation game collection, which had AO in it. This is when I got hooked.
And I'd like to thank my dad for buying AE for £6.00 from a video game rental store. I got truely hooked here.

:)I'd like to thank my uncle and ant for leanding me the Abe games and Gizmo for being a good pet.

I'd like to thank my mom, whom rented the game from the video store, and allowed me to try MO, and eventually the rest of the series.

I'd also like to thank the awesomeness of the games, 'cause that's what got me hooked. the puzzles, the environments, the characters and the wildlife. Not to mention the story line. ;)
