Where to download AO?
I have a question...
Does anyone know where to download a Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee rom? You know, you download Emulator's from certain consoles, and you download the games as rom-files, to play on the emulator. I already got the Playstation-emulator, so does anyone know where to download an AO Playstation-rom? Plz help, I would like to play the game at last! |
Sorry Ramonsk8, but talking about illegal products is against the rules. You can download the demo from the offical site though.
|
Yeah I know... Hehe sorry, but I can't find a place to order the game... I HAVE to play it... It's a missing part in my Oddworld-Life...

AAARGH that sucks... PS did you all know that there is a Gameboy-version of Munch's Oddysee? I've played that rom, and the game sucked, I finished it in 2 hours... But back to the subject, I think you're right. The real game is WAY better, but then again, I can't find a place to download it, and I don't even know if it will run on my PC... Plz let me know where to roder one (cheap, please)

Yes, every Oddworld game is on GameBoy, exept Strangers Wrath.

MO for the GBA is based after MO. Ramonsk8, try Amazon, or eBay, they're good sites for AO! |
:
THE BEST game in frickin quintology.,.. others are just wannabes |
why don't you give the boy frickin link....
like somebody would care... try on ebay.... it's cheap |

And respectful members won't double post. Yes, it's piracy to literally
"swipe" the game from OWI to play for free. The demo is a promotion for you to buy the game and be legal about it. |
Yes I know, and I really AM an Oddworld fan, but it's just that I'm a little on the poor side...
|
Ramonsk8, I know how you feel. But it's not really right to play a ROM before the game. Maybe you could search for a reasonable copy from a site that holds products for a long time, like Amazon, and then when you get enough money you could buy it.
|
I guess I've found the right place now...
Another question, can Abe's Oddysee be played on a Windows XP? In the Description I'm reading it's for Windows 98,99,ME... |
that's good you found a copy. I'm not sure about the PC version, (I got the PS version when it was in stores, HAHA...YES) but I think it is kind of hard to run on XP cos its kind of old. But I think it can be done as a lot of ppl have done it. I hope you play AO soon, because it is one of the best oddworld games, maybe not gameplay wise, but the atmosphere of the game really drags yo in to it!
|
I hope it works... I'll order it for sure, even if it doesn't work, I'll have the game for only 6 dollars! (what's that in euros, since I live in the Netherlands?)... I'm also trying to order Munch's Oddysee somewhere later... does that game rocks?
|
6 $ are something around 5 euros... and the game will work on XP...
|
YEAH! You just made my day (and it's almost over!)... I feel good, I've just finished SSX Blur (On the Nintendo Wii) for 99% and now I'm gonna order the game!!! WOOOOOW!!!
|
:
Wow, you have a Wii? :) Rock on! |
Haha yeah, I'm a hardcore Wii-fan, I even got it 2 days BEFORE the official launch here in Europe... Together with Zelda TP, Red Steel and Wii Sports...

Fluid, don't double post like you did a few posts up. It's considered as spam.
|
I've played MO on the Gameboy, and it was the third Oddworld game i've finished after AE and SW. MO sucked, and I bet it's nothing like MO on the XboX...
|
:
|
I bet the XboX version is super-holy-mega-power-shrykull-good compared to the Gameboy version... The gameboy version is so damn short, and really boring...
|
it's really not that good IMO, honestly.

Indeed, the games are quiet different. They may have the same story, but the different tunnels and poor story telling makes the game totally different.

I agree as well. The maps are quite different from AO and AE. They are definitely not the same games.
