Save editor for AE

Lately I started a little project called Abe's Exoddus save editor. The program can open a save file of AE and modify some values, such as: -Escapees -Casulities -Muds in zulag -If Abe has an exploding fart -Number of hold items* -Add a Ring (Shrykull, heal etc.)* The editor atm is not finished and under beta stages so it is not downloadable. Shrykull kills muds? O.o
I don't have the pc version or anything. And for infinite grenades, I presume you just set the amount to '0' and that's it? That's what it was in AO... I'd love to try infinite grenades if I ever had near such an oppurtunity. This sounds awesome. How much use would an AO version be? And maybe you could put in if you were possessing something or not. If you could pull that off, that would be awesome. GLITCH CITY, and stuff. Ah, it would be awesome to try being a Scrab in the Mudomo vaults...shame there's no Playstation version. Would it be possible to put this file to a cd to play on a playstation in any way? Like how an action replay for playstation works or something. |
Shrykull didn't actually kill the Mud, it exploded the 2 bombs next to it.
Amount '0' is basicly 0. 1-9 is normal, 10-255 is endless. It'll be a little hard to make an AO version because of the lack of quicksaves. I'll see if I can find the address for possessing and if it works as excepted. I really can't do anything related to PS, as I don't have one. The save editor edits the .sav file (Memory card in PS case), Action replay edits the memory. Also, the program I'm using to make the editor is not cross-platform. For now it only works on Windows (And Linux when using WINE) and other ports planned are for Linux and Nintendo Wii. Basicly I can't port it to PS. :( |

That would be a level editor. Level editors are much more complex to make if you didn't make the game...

If AE/AO weren't as old as they were, we could've asked OI to release a PC level editor or summat, like Halo's Custom Edition (:D). That would be awesome, though. ...can anyone burn a disc for me for free to try this-*brick'd* |

Can you make some save editor so you start with a scrab or even a Glukkon?You could add this thingy to your save ed. it would be cool to SEE a Glukkon in necrum, since its runned by them!Could you add a link to the save editor (if its finished or beta) I'd love to try it out!And I know it would be glitchy like hell if you would play as a Glukkon (like when you blow him up he would ditch you out of the game because theres no Abe) but I would still like it :)

I'll see what I can do about the possessing thing, It would be cool of course, but might cause troubles.
For example, when you have grenades when you shouldn't have, some screens of a level might crash the game, while it works on other screens of the same level. |

Maybe you could make Abe and someone (you pick-a glukkon...) near him, so maybe it wouldnt crash!Only on places where you get automatic quicksave (happened to me once, when you escape from a scrab in AE and i posessed him without shutting the doors that block him from getting anywhere so i leaded him to an automatic quiksave and it crashed) but there aint much auto quiksaves, right?Especcialy at the start!

There's no such thing as an auto quiksave, so stop making things up Abe.

Hmm I think he means when the game checkpoints automatically, like after you finish a tunnel...but that wouldn't be called a quiksave.

Nah. I had a fit of rage when i passed this really hard bit then died by falling down a hole. i was SO mad that i broke one of my controllers,

I just thought... if u loaded the save without abe and instead a glukkon wouldent the game think abe were dead and constantly keep reloading? Obviusly I dont know for sure its just a thought. :P

Help needed for ring features in the save editor.
If you would like to help please upload (and post) as many saves files with rings as you can. Please name then saves like this: Ring color: r for red, b for blue (Shrykull), g for green (Invisibility) and y for yellow (healing). Then an underline (_), your name, another underline and your save number (Your first save will be 1, then 2 etc) for example, if for my 4th save I want to send I had a red ring, the name would be r_LIJI_4.sav Thanks for everyone that would help! |

I can't see why AE stops working on some computers.
I have Window$ XP latest version with the latest updates and AE runs fine. |

But I forgot you call it like that lol!So I said auto quiksave.Can you put the beta link pleeeaaasee?I just can't wait for that stuff!And I think you were right about that, sligstorm.(if only glukkon was in a room and no abe the game would probably act like hes dead)But I said that maybe you could have less crashes if Abe was there with a "creature".

Clips are kewl...I dont want to be rude or something but I wont use it...for me its pointless...I love to play games without cheats ^_^ but alot of people will appriciate your work...So keep up the good work ! Take Care !
