Fillings

Hello, everyone.

I got the idea of this topic because I had a filling for a tooth done today. My third one in my lifetime. The needle was painful but everything else was quick and okay (I go to a special person because I get really scared).

But have you had any fillings or anything to do with your teeth?

Sorry if this is a bad topic or has been done before. If it is a bad topic, spam or done before, just lock it.

I've never had a filling but I've had my front teeth coloured, because I had this weird white stuff on them, and now they look normal.
I hate teeth, when there's a problem with them, it can be one of the most irratating and painful experiences.

Yep, I have had my fair share of fillings in my life. I had 3 of the metal-ish ones when I was just a kid, which hurt whenever I touched them with something like a fork, but now I have these ceramic fillings (yes, even in my "adult" teeth), and they're ok. They needed to settle, and the nerves had to adjust to the pressure (everytime I chewed something hard, I felt this excruciating pain), but now they're allright.

I've had too many to name. When I was a kid, I ate a little too much candy.

I have absolutely none; a combination of good genetics and a well-flouridated water supply. Now all I need to do is work out how to get them a little less yellow and they'll be great.

I had a couple fillings on some of my back teeth, but my dentist and me seem to be satisfied with the rest of them. For one, I was fortunate enough to never wear braces, even though my teeth are not perfectly straight.
I don't remember anything painful about getting my fillings done. I think it was when I was six or so.

heh, last year, my back tooth on my right side split in half after chewing some gum. Now, I'm not fortunate enough to have had it fall out, so now I have a sharp half a tooth in the back of my mouth that gets really frikken annoying.

Ouch. Shouldn't you get it removed? I mean, that's an open invitation for antigens to invade that ya and cause you a hell of alot of pain in the future.

I've had thousands of fillings. They don't hurt.

Also, I bet I have less teeth than you.

And to double the pain, I've broken another one on the oppposite side. I was eating Chili and a rock got in it (not a large one mind you) and I bit way to hard on it and it broke my back tooth.

I'd get it removed but.... I don't know. All I need to do it soften it up or smooth it down and It'd be fine....

Damn dental.

....

I had tons of fillings in my baby teeth, but now I don’t have any in my permanent teeth yet (and hopefully never). I can chew on foil without fear, lol.

I think I have 8 or 9. I haven't been to the dentist in a long time though, probably should get a check up and a cleaning.
