PSP Emulator
Yes, for my bday I got a PSP (any Sony haters, don't go insane and yell plz), and well, I heard you can get Oddworld on it. But my brothers friend said that there's a 50 percent chance the PSP will be corrupted forever when the emulator is downloaded. And I can't seem to get on the internet with the PSP. Can anyone help meh?

I don't quite follow, are you looking for the firmware upgrades for the PSP or an actual PSP emulator? I'm going to assume the first, because you actually have one (Happy belated Birthday ;)). There are a few links you might want to check out. I personally do not have a PSP, so I cannot tell you for sure whether or not your PSP might get corrupted, but I'll scoop around for some more info and try and bring everything into perspective for you. More to come.
EDIT: Alright, the firmare version you'll be looking for is; v3.02oe-b - Note that once you pass v3.03, you cannot downgrade your PSP. v3.02oe-b - will enable the PSP to load and play PSX games that have been backed up. EDIT: An interesting chart; http://www.psp-vault.com/images/guid...v311_chart.png |
Playstation Portable.

Thanks for that clarification Cullen.
I downgraded my PSP, but that was a while ago. Downgraded from 2.0 to like, 1.something so I could use homebrew. This was about a year ago when I still had it though. Something to do with opening an image that corrupts your psp back to an old firmware. When I first heard of PSP in gotta be 2004, I always thought "Oh yes, Oddworld portable.". |
I wasn't clarifying anything.
