Back and here to stay (official now!) no Bullshit!

Well Its been a long time I am going to say 3 yrs at least or perhaps 2. But I am back because I just can't be not an Oddworld fan. I luv Oddworld too much to simply pack up and leave. Anyone or anybody of old on this forum would say I had a turbulent past but ya know that was the past and I think the whole slate on me has been wiped clean at least I hope. I hope nobody still has grudges against me. If so I feel very sorry for them. Anyway I can tell lots of changed and I am dieing to know what has happen other than OWI going off the radar screen. What has happened here in our beloved Oddworld community of ours?

Lets just say for me I managed to get a job in Hawaii on a cruise ship that at least pays well enough to quit in a couple of years and get an art studio going. Um I am also currently doing a graphic novel, Science Fiction and Fantasy type of story that is. I might be doing another graphic novel that is being written by person I know who lives in Navada.

All and all glad to be back. This time for sure no bullshit!

Welcome back, paramiteabe!:)

paramiteabe 03-05-2007 02:42 PM

Wow thanks guys for welcoming me back. I am back and better than ever with so many cool ideas. Like I have become a graphic novalist with a really cool story I am currently developing. I call it: Atalis Chronicles of the Tree Folk. It has potential to becomes perhaps an animated film but do to lack of finance its just a regular adventure story. All I need is a publisher and I am well under way. Perhaps New York is a good place to start.

I did notice my signature tampered with. Its ok I have plans to design a bran new signature that will advertise my unusial world that I am creating. A world filled with trees as high as mountains, mushrooms as large as houses and my favorite, giant sea turtles with great cities on top of their shells.

Well I have to go I have a date with my girl friend so tootles everybody! See ya tomarrow or tonight or what ever time zone your in.

Paramiteabe...:fuzzle:

Oh an PS nice to here from you too Al its been awhile.

Wil 03-05-2007 03:30 PM

PA! Long time no see, indeed. Ah, your return fills me with warm and fuzzy nostalgia. Good to have you back, and good to hear you’re still arting it up. :D

paramiteabe 03-06-2007 05:17 AM

Let me tell ya something, being an artist is not an easy life especially in fine art. To make things short, if you end up ever selling your fine art on the streets as a way to begin your so called career to greatness in the field of design, never quit your day job. Believe me, oh it is possible to make a liveing selling your art but you need to be makeing more money at selling your art than you would with your day job and thats a fact. If you make more money selling your art than your day job, then you can quit your day job and go full time with your art.

A little piece of advice from a famious artist I talked to who lives and works in Hawaii as a fine artist. His name is Brian Marshal. Amazeing painter!

He gave me his book about succeeding in the art world. And this book centers its attention more on the business side of art vending than on the skills side. Great read though and lots of good advice to aspireing artist such as myself.

Turtles with cities on their shells? Do I spy some Discworld inspiration there? If so it's good, if not it's still all good. Welcome back paramiteabe, I'm not sure if you were still posting when I was here, but I certainly know of you. Good to have a member back, as always.

Abeguy 03-07-2007 03:19 AM

Welcome Back PA! long time no see
Your GN sounds interesting and I'd like to read it sometime

missed ya

paramiteabe 03-07-2007 01:18 PM

No you guys are not going to Hell. You guys are going to where ever your religion takes you!:D

Thanks, my GN had a bit of inspiration from many different things, Discworld is one of them on the fantasy front. Transformers, Oddworld, StarTrek and StarWars is a big inspiration and well Neverending Story, Lord of the Rings and the Dark Crystal is another area of inspiration for me. But most of all this GN will be very much like "Sky Captain and the world of Tomarrow", with a twist of course. One it takes place on another planet that is called "Atalis" and two

Atalis is enormous in size. Imagine a world the size of our solar system need I say more!

Arxryl 03-07-2007 04:56 PM
