Annoyances

What are your most annoying times in video gaming experience? I have a few, but here's the worst: On Abe's Exoddus, I completed the Mudomo Vaults, but forgot to memory card save. Then, the gameb froze, and I had to do it all again.

Arxryl 03-04-2007 08:35 AM

I was playing KOTOR II, and I got fairly far for how long I was playing. Then I accidentaly unplugged the Xbox and I forgot to save, so now I have to start all over...

Daxter King 03-04-2007 09:52 AM

When ever I forget to save, or when I accdently turn the power off while saving. I've never been able to beat Spyro 3 again! >_<

Pokemon Colliseum I believe it was. You have to fight like 6-8 strong trainers, that all have potions and crap. Once you get through with that you face the final boss. But all your Pokemon are all exhausted, and you probably have no more potions. His pokemon aren't even that strong!

I finished simpson hit & run. the next day i made a new profile and when i had to get off for lunch i saved over the compleated one.

Hmm, let's think.
On Abe's Exoddus, I got right to the last bit of the part where Abe returns to the Mines, but fell down a pit. I meant to hit restart path, but accidentally hit Quicksave. This caused it to forever remain on a blank screen- Abe hjaving fallen down the hole. He didn't respawn, no matter what I did. It was damn annoying.

Also currently on Fifa 07, I was trying to make an all custom-player team, but accidentally hit 'random face' when creating the next to last player's appearance. Now whenever I try to make a new player, they turn into a shrivelled-faced person who looks like a black-skinned prune, and in player mode, their face is all distorted and they're bald. I can't fix it, whatever I do. Really annoying.

However I encountered something very satisfying recently. Just before Christmas, having pretty much exhausted all my games, and not yet having an ynew ones, I went back and played Spyro 3 again (This'll cheer you up Daxter ;)). I had never got past the third boss, who's like a giant dragon who throws eggs at you which have crabs inside. You need to collect rockets and shoot him with them. I beat it first try and got to the last world, which I had never been able to do. So yay me.

I had a similar experience with KOTOR. I was stuck in the Rakatan Tombs and decided to start a new game until I felt like playing again. Well, after I got up to Taris, I saved, but on the wrong file. I ended up overwriting the other save, and I had to start all over from Tatooine. I was so angry that I couldn't play that game for months.

Any time my Xbox or Xbox 360 freezes on me and you have to turn the freaking system off cuz there is no restart. :fuzmad:

I was playing AE all day, and I got to Necrum, and my mum's friend's daugter came in with her mum, I told her I needed to save, and she walked past the PS1 and turned it off. I felt like smacking her.

Damn, that must be really annoying. Luckily, I have no experiences like that normally, as I live on my own, but sometimes my dad comes around and says, "Whadda load a crap" then pulls the plug out of the socket.

Jordan 03-04-2007 10:29 PM

Ouch, that's pretty harsh of your father! My parents have never done that to me, the worst they've ever done is ban me from games, as 'I didn't sleep much' and I kept falling asleep in class. This was like, 4 years ago.

You mean you're too lazy to push a button twice, instead of once?

Lagging. I ****ing hate it to pieces.

Alf Shall Rise 03-05-2007 04:11 PM

Yes, lagging, I know that too. When my slow computer had internet, I used to play Gunz...and well, it didn't play that good.

Nemo 03-05-2007 05:27 PM

I hate lagging on a REALLY GOOD computer.
I'm playing on my friends computer, which is just under the power of a PS3, and it just starts lagging for no reason.

Daxter King 03-05-2007 05:58 PM

Doesn't matter how good the computer is, if the connection is shit. Yes I hate lag, makes GoW unbearable.

It must be a crap PC then! :p I hate lagging too, especially when I have pretty good memory on the thing. But soon I'm getting a new PC, so now, all those giant games like The Sims 2, can be played quickly and smoothly! :D

Dammit. You beat me to it. :p

I, fortunately have never had this problem. However my brother has when he was playing Halo 2 on Live. Apparently with lag, shotguns only do damage after 10 seconds, then totally screw you over because you die as well.

Nemo 03-06-2007 07:31 PM

It's just under the power of a PS3, not Sony.

Jordan 03-06-2007 10:51 PM

Yes, that's why I'm saying, it must be a crap PC then if it's under the power of a PS3.

You mean you're too lazy to push a button twice, instead of once?

Well pushing the button twice is fine, it is the fact that you have to start the whole level -most of the time over due to it freezing.

Mojo 03-08-2007 09:54 AM

Well, I thought you were referring to a "restart" button. Or a reset-button.
