Pikmin

Anyone likes it? I does.

Any information on a possible Pikmin 3?

I love the Pikmin games. My favorite has to be the second, as the first was much to short and much too simple. Unfortunately, I still haven't passed the final boss in the second one, seeing as how I quit playing awhile back.

He's not that bad actually. If you have the right strategy and skills that is. I beat him yesterday but it didn't give me the closing cinematic as I haven't gotten every single one of the treasures yet. I haven't even touched the Hole of Heroes either.

I've played them, and they are pretty fun! Although I can't find either of the games so I'm at a lack of playing them at the moment...

See, I've tried taking him down many times, but to no avail. Plus, if I were to try and defeat him now, I wouldn't stand a chance. It's been at least a year since I've played :p.

And the one treasure that I've been having trouble getting is that little weight thingamabob that requires 1,000 Pikmin.

I played a little bit of it once and it almost made me go out and buy a gamecube. I've been praying for a DS version ever since.

Well, I took out a squad of yellows because 1) they're the best jumpers so you don't have to wait for him to lower and 2) Electricity is the dealiest of the attacks so it makes sense to bring the creatures out that are immune to it. All of the other attacks are very avoidable and you just need to call your pikmin if they get touched by them. Red potions are a big help as well.

The blue barbell? According to something I read online, the only place with violet candypops after you beat the cave is the Subterranean Complex. I still have to investigate this.

Yuo need to get 100 purple pikmin to get that because they are as strong as 10 pikmin each, so 100 times 10 is 1,000...

I tried using the yellow ones first. The boss just kept firing water at the ones I left just around the corner, and I had to keep returning to them, and blowing the whistle at 'em to make sure they didn't die. So, I just ended up quitting, because he just continued doing that until all my other Pikmin just kept on dying.

And yes, that's what I meant. I couldn't remember what it was, since it's been so long since I last played. Hopefully that is true, as I've been searching for the candypops in all the places I've been in before, and have only found a couple.

Dude, I know. My problem is, I don't know which palces have the violet candypops so I can transform 'em :p.

That happened to me so I left Shyacho (the president) in the corner so I could just switch to him and have him save my pikmin from drowning. Also, one thing to remember is that each of the treasures takes 30 pikmin to carry, so if you have under 30 pikmin or can't match the weight with purples, just leave and come back with a better army. My advice is to bring a good load of purples that way you have a better chance of having enough muscle to get the treasures in the end.

I actually did the same. I believe I left Olimar in charge of the Pikmin in the corner, while I took the squad of yellows to fight the boss. Even so, many Pikmin ended up dying, and so I quit.

Thanks for the advice though. I'll be sure to put it to good use whenever I happen to play the game again.

I really like Pikmin! I didn't like the first one, I hate having time...I'm lazy, and I like to take my time :p. Anyway, I haven't beat Pikmin 2, my bro did (I think), but now he has to find Louie who got left behind.
