I take it Twilight Princess is your favorite game?

Daxter King 02-22-2007 01:18 PM

You cannot rule out certain people.

Personally I haven't had much time to play it. THe controls are nice, but it gets off to a slow start like most Zeldas' in my opinion.

snuzi 02-22-2007 01:21 PM

Actually, I thought it got going pretty fast. You only have to do a few pointless things in the beginning, and then boom! Action at all turns!

Although, I was disappointed to find out that Ganon was the easiest boss in the entire game.

Abraham Lure 02-22-2007 01:36 PM

Well, I haven't played it much. But I have got to the bit *Spoilers*where the forest is covered in Twilight. *End spoilers*. I have also found that much to my dismay, redeads are in the game. I am not looking forward to meeting them.

I also like Midna. She's got a cool voice (If you can call it a voice) and she seems nice enough as the game progresses. She's much cooler than Navi anyway.

I like Twilight Princess a lot. Even though I'm only up to the Zora area with the wolf, I like it a lot.

Cullen Heath 02-22-2007 02:15 PM

Oh, I love Twilight Princess! It's so much fun, and the Wii is freakin awesome, which helps.

Abeguy 02-22-2007 03:46 PM

I've beaten it...now I'm going through it with my collector's edition hard back strategy guide and cloth map :D

Arxryl 02-22-2007 04:35 PM

I really like the game. It was dissapointing that Ganon was easy, and I do wish that Zant satyed longer in the game. I mean, he's awesome (although he is crazy) but still... I have it for the gamecube, and I like how the map very closely resembles that of Ocarina of Time.

Awesome game...

snuzi 02-22-2007 05:37 PM

I'm actually currently working on a forum dedicated to the Zelda series with my girlfriend, as some of the forums I've joined have either been too crowded, or have rejected me completely for my views regarding certain matters. Thankfully, it's almost finished, and should be up and running by next week :D.

If any of you are interested in joining, or providing some feedback, I can get ya a link to it when it's finished :).

Abeguy 02-23-2007 04:17 AM

It pains me that The Exoddus made this thread...it makes it look childish...

and you didn't spell it right...unless of course...the game you played had to do with the many brothers of midna "Princes" => "Princess"
There, I said it...I cannot bear the status of the fist post in this thread, and any following post by T.E. ...oh how I wish I could go through and spellcheck OWF...I'd be a happy Abeguy

the Exoddus 02-23-2007 04:35 AM

hm watever idk how much it pains you its a cool game i love it ..alot lol look at my myspace and you can see that. but back to topic im trying to get the wiii but its so expensive! grrrrr

SeaRex 02-23-2007 02:47 PM

It was good. Took a little old and mixed it with some new elements, which is always nice. It had some awesome items (DOUBLE CLAWSHOT WOOO!!) and some really lame ones (Spinner... woo?), it did.

So not quite the same caliber as OoT or A Link to the Past, but damn close. I thought it was far too easy, but then again, I played the GCN version, and I figure that the Wii version is harder because of the interactive controls.

Can anyone vouch for this? Or did Zelda games just get easy after MM?

Jordan 02-24-2007 06:01 AM

I didn't know the game was called Twilight Princes. I thought it was about a Princess, but I guess I'm wrong. :p
This game rocks, I'm up to the water temple, it's literally like a maze.
Hyrule field is so giant, you ACTUALLY get lost in it! :)
I've been a fan of Zelda for a while, and I've nearly finished OOT.
Midna is cool, but what language does she speak? Is it some form of Hylian or something?

Arxryl 02-24-2007 12:30 PM

I think so. I think it is derived from Hylian, but since she lived in the world of twilight for so long, it must be a tad different.

I enjoy how much larger the Master Sword is when you get it. It's like a claymore compared to the ordon sword.

snuzi 02-24-2007 01:04 PM

What I don't understand is why Midna is the only one who actually speaks in that game. All anyone else does is gasp or sigh.

I really wish they'd make a Zelda game where you could hear what the character's voices sound like. Even if they were speaking Hylian, I think it'd be awesome :).

Arxryl 02-24-2007 01:08 PM

Yeah. that would be cool. I don't think they could do that for Link though, as he is "the Hero" and he is different from all the other link's. For some reason, it'd rob him from his straight forward heroic attitude. Y'know?

I thought of this for a while now, actually....

I'd like to hear Zelda though, and Ganon already has a sort of voice because he laughs and sighs and grunts and stuff.

snuzi 02-24-2007 01:38 PM

I suppose so, but I've always imagined that Link would sound similar, or exactly the same as the other Link's that have been around. Perhaps it's because they all look so similar.

I'd definitely like to hear Ganon speak. I mean, it's true that everyone basically has an idea about how he would sound like, but I'd actually like to hear him, as it'd probably add to the evil of his character.

Jordan 02-24-2007 03:12 PM

It's usually not common for the heroes to speak, I think it sort of ruins the gameplay.
I have to tell you all this. It's just pathetic and fake.
These idiots were planning to make a Zelda movie, and they didn't even have Nintendo's permission, I can't remember where I saw the trailer, but try Youtube.

snuzi 02-24-2007 03:35 PM

I don't think it would. In my opinion, it'd add to the story, in a way, since it'd make the characters seem more real.

I head about this awhile back. Apparently, their plans didn't go very smoothly, and they ended up cancelling production. Although, I believe they are likely to try again.

Arxryl 02-25-2007 09:38 AM

hmm... I'd rather they not make a full fledged movie out of it. I mean, it'd be good for a watch, but not for sale. Maybe a few showings on youtube, and that's about it. And I did see the trailer, and it didn't look too amazing.

Leto 02-25-2007 01:11 PM

it makes it look childish...
Zelda not childish already? Harharhar.

Just thought I'd come in to say: I'm not a Zelda fan. Take that, the Trolzoddus.

Mojo 02-25-2007 11:36 PM

No need to call eachother names.

I used to be a big Zelda fan, I liked the games like A Link To The Past, Links Awakening, you know, all them games where you see the world from above.

Jordan 02-26-2007 08:15 AM

I had Link's Awakening DX for the GB once. Oh how I miss that game.
I always wanted to try Oracle of Ages and Seasons, has anybody ever played them before?

Arxryl 02-26-2007 05:57 PM

I've played them, and they're fairly fun. Not as good as A Link to the Past, but still fun for a play.

Jordan 02-27-2007 06:05 AM

The only time I've played A link to the Past is when I borrowed the GBA version from my friend. I enjoyed it a lot, I'd love to see it in 3D some day! :)

Arxryl 02-27-2007 07:45 PM

It would be very cool if they did it right, but I think it is kinda like AO and AE. It would be best in it's original state. But an interesting and intriguing notion none the less.

I'm sorry Mojosus...

Please forgive me...

the Exoddus 03-02-2007 08:43 AM

Answers for you all: Midna speaks Twiliton. I just finished the writing for it, though I can't make it for speaking. Would take years. And she's a Twili-Descendant of the Blah-blah-blah. Find it out yourself, this can be a spoiler.
