Take this job,

turn it sideways, and stick it straight up you CANDY ASS!
I've already applied to 5 spots, applying all week long until I get something.
Man, I was the lowest paid guy there at 7 bucks an hour. The pretty workers thing became a burden, it was like the world's biggest jailbait cocktease.
I was only getting about 12 hours a week, too. I'd like almost 3 times that.
The people running it sucked, too. The wife of the owner was the worst, what a CUNT!!!
Ah, I can finally watch college basketball again. **** and yeah.
Edit:Feel free to talk about your shitty jobs and lives and your most satisfying firings and quittings so Sexy Rexy doesn't lock this thread. The big meanie.

I don't have a job. I'm a sheltered spoiled asshole.

Nah, I'm probably get something humble like a summer job over at my highschool.

snuzi 02-05-2007 11:26 AM

I'm currently searching for a job. So far, the places I have applied have not called me or anything. Assholes.

Havoc 02-05-2007 11:44 AM

I might soon be starting my own business. No boss to mess with you there XD

What function would your business serve?

Bullet Magnet 02-05-2007 01:02 PM

n00b-burgers. Flame-grilled, naturally.

Jordan 02-05-2007 01:08 PM

Hm... I'll have to wait... 8 years to be a Game's designer! :p
It's such a long time... But I might be searching for a part-time job when I'm about 14, damn, the stupid laws, why can't 13 year olds work?

Right now the aim is to make it a gamer oriented computer store. Mostly selling self composed computers configured completely for the best gaming experience and selling other gaming related supplies. It's all in very early stages though so we'll have to see how it goes.

Awesome! Great for you Havoc!
And I'm glad you finally quit your job Statikk!

As for me, I'm not exactly old enough fro a job, but I was thinking of working at, please don't laugh, Disneyland for a little bit. Then after that I could go to college and then become a video game designer!
Yeah, my life's dream wrapped up into a few sentances...

Wow... Disney land! You get to meet Goofy! :p
Hey, we both want to be Game's Designers, ROCK ON!! :D
I wanna work for OWI one day, if they are making games by then, if not, maybe Nintendo or something.

Arxryl 02-05-2007 03:06 PM

Definitely. And not meet Goofy, I would get to be Goofy. I mean, I'm tall enough, and I certainly fit the part of Goofy.

And yes, working for Oddworld would be awesome.

But, if not, I'd go and work for Microsoft or Nintendo. Screw Sony... Those Bizatches...

Nate 02-05-2007 03:41 PM

Jeez, the people I know who work for Disneyland are the biggest bunch of misfits I've ever met. Oh, and the safety word is 'Watermelon'.

As for jobs, I have a pretty good one but they only give me all of five hours a week so I'm applying for a second one. It's quite hard if you have standards and don't want to work on a supermarket checkout.

skillya_glowi 02-05-2007 05:47 PM

I'm still not very sure where my career will go, but my big dream (at the moment) is to be a production designer (you can guess who inspired that). I love to draw, I love computers, and I have a vivid imagination -- so why not?
The worst thing about that is, it's not a permanent job. :fuzconf:

Oh, and I'd die to work for OWI.
(Well, not literally of course, since if I'm dead, I couldn't work)

Nate 02-05-2007 10:09 PM

Okay, scratch my last post. I just visited my job to tell them that I'm available again after I had a summer job. Turns out the manager, assistant manager and third in command have all moved to different stores in the last month or so. Consequently, the new manager has shuffled stuff around so I'm limited to 3.5 hours a week!

Jordan 02-05-2007 11:16 PM

Maybe I'd apply for a job application at Sony, and then be a spy and tell Nintendo all their secrets so they know what a new console is like and they can make theirs much better.
But Nintendo probably wouldn't want me to do that, they have good souls there!

Alcar 02-06-2007 05:21 AM

I should hopefully be starting a new job within the month. Can't stand Starbucks anymore.

Alcar...

Rex Tirano 02-06-2007 09:01 AM

I would have a job except no where will hire a 16 year old with no experience.

Except MacDonalds. And I'm not working there!

Gee, and I thought America was bad. Here in Georgia, they don't
let you do part-time until your 16. You know I don't normally use language like this, but f*ck them.

snuzi 02-06-2007 04:44 PM

How can you expect them to hire younger individuals when, in our day and age, most teenagers are incompetent dummies? I, personally, believe that it is a good idea that they don't let the younger teenagers work, since, most of the time, they aren't suitable for that particular field, or work in general.

Rich 02-06-2007 04:45 PM

I don't go for the whole work thing really. I wish I could but its too hard to get a job around here til you're 18.

Daxter King 02-06-2007 07:00 PM

Hmmm, you can get a part time job at age 14?! Tell me where?!

No, I have no job. On the up side, I pay no taxes :D I want to be a game designer too, at Insomniac or Bungie, no HUGE company.

skillya_glowi 02-06-2007 07:01 PM

Oddworld has certainly influenced some of our career choices :D

Lord knows, mine too...

Jordan 02-06-2007 11:28 PM

WTF!? 16? That's pretty bad! But I hate waiting one more year, it's very boring... I think I'll go work for GameStation! :p
