Well, you all saw this topic coming. The game's going on right now as I write this, and the score is 6-14 to the Bears.

For those who don't know:

Chicago Bears v. Indiapolis Colts

I'm rooting for the bears. DA BEARS, DA BEARS DA BEARS DA BEARS.

Hopefully, the rest of you will update this as the game goes on, because I'll be watching the game.

Actually, I prefer te commercials over the game itself.

Half-time report:

16-14 to the Colts.

Time to watch Prince play the guitar like Jimi Hendrix. At least, that's what Pepsi is making it look like...

Who won? I was for the Bears. Just cause I like Chicago.

That was the sloppiest goddamn Super Bowl I'd ever seen, and for good reason...It was historically sloppy.
6 fumbles, 4 lost, 3 interceptions, 2 botched special teams snap, a kickoff return for a touchdown, the first time that occurred in nearly 200 attempts, Jesus, this game was just downright painful to watch.
Prince nailed it though, the first halftime show in over half a decade that I actually enjoyed.

Chicago has good hot dogs, so I went with the Bears.

Purr-ple Rain...Purr-ple Rain!
I can't wait to tell my shithead coworker that Prince not only pulls better snatch than Grossman, he passes the ball better too.

I'm so glad the Superbowl is over. Being an Indiana resident, I got sick and tired of the Superbowl fairly quick. At least I don't live in Indianapolis, I imagine the fandom was pretty bad up there.
I think football would be a lot more interesting if the players didn't wear all that ridiculous padding and had all the players on field instead of having half of them sit out.

Ha, I feel your pain. Western Pennsylvania went through the same orgy of team support last year when the Steelers made it to Superbowl..........then won.

Arxryl 02-05-2007 01:57 PM

Geez. Suprisingly, there isn't much talk about it over here. And I thought all my class mates would be yakking their heads off about it.
I didn't watch all of it, so I don't know what the commercials were like. Were they any good?

Majic 02-06-2007 07:01 AM

The commercials seemed pretty below average. A couple of decent Bud Light ones (why on earth do they only advertise light beer during football?), and I liked the careerbuilder.com ones alright. Nothing really special though.

The game seemed like a bunch of slop. Because it was. I got all excited after that touchdown return and thought the rest of the game would be just as good. But no, Grossman sucked like a hoover vaccum.

The halftime show was excellent. Prince is quite the dude- I mean honestly, what genre can't the guy play? I remember watching some DVD of his recorded in Las Vegas, and it was an hour plus of straight up funk. And this was entirely different stuff, but just as good. Props to him. Beats the hell out of the Rolling Stones last year.

Im Australian and dont know about american football... If I did support I would go for Chicargo [dont ask me why.

Kimon 02-07-2007 02:51 PM

It's American football, which is about 10 times more of a sport than baseball is.

Arxryl 02-07-2007 02:58 PM

It seems as though you cannot somewhat like baseball. You either hate it, or are a fanatic about it. There is no middle road.

And yes, it is 10 times more of a sport. If you know about Rugby, it's kind of, sort of, in a way, like that. Not completely, but still.
