Dunno wether this topic was on before but oh well
A great game in my opinion, mostly because of the cover system, it makes it much more realistic were as in halo you just jump around and charge at the other players. The graphics are quite impressive although they could have used some more color than grey :P The gun with the chainsaw attached is cool but gets annoying when some player gets a cheap kill at you :P So anyone else got the game? |
Good game. One of the best-looking console games to date. Just wish everything didn't have that "next-gen shine" to it. I mean, it's OK for that rainy level, but it just makes everything else look like plastic.

I got the game. I love the graphics but simply adore the selections of background tracks. The only thing that's killing it for me are the jack asses on the multiplayer matches.

I really am glad I got it, multiplayer is entertaining but nothing spectacular at all. However, I agree with Luke that it's one of the best looking console games to date and co-op/single player = loads of fun.

Great game, I finished it once and truely enjoyed it. I hope I will find some time to play it again with my sister.

Yeah, you can get killed several times if you just jump on in like I did. Though, I get a kill here and there. You wouldn't believe all the 10 year olds online........

I'm pretty disappointed with the game. I finally buy a 360, I sit down to play the only game I picked up for it and I am almost immediately bored to tears. It's my own fault, really. I should have known better than to buy a shooter.

i think it is one of the best shooters on 360.
Although the idiots on Mp are prats but when you are with a good team (mainly anyone but americans)it is a hell of a lot of fun oh and old and not so tasty whats wrong with it? |
The story is worse than mediocre. The voice acting is terrible. Halflife 2 looked better on the x-box than this does on the 360. And the controls are anything but intuitive. I can't fault the gameplay other than it just isn't my cup of tea but I really did consider trying to return my 360 after an hour of this game. The only thing really keeping me from doing so is that I think Doublefine's new game is going to be for the 360.

Saying that Half-Life 2 on Xbox looks better than this shows that you haven't played much. The controls work fine for me............ Multiplayer is fun,Laser how can you say avoid Americans? The game is mostly played by Americans. Besides the good players have been out weighing the bad ones. Though one time I got in a match with nothing but mexicans...... |
The characters look more polished than HL2 but the environments are disgusting by comparison. The freakin clouds don't even move. Also, the physics aren't as good as HL2. Did anyone else notice the way the car just kind of stuttered along when you were pushing it? Annoying.
The controls work fine for me now that I've figured them out. There is nothing necessarily wrong with them. I just didn't find them to be very intuitive. |
Well, yes I have noticed the physics to be awkard at moments. In multiplayer alot of times you spin around before crushing a downed enemies head.

Hmmmm, you must not like shooters. Well, I think we can all agree its better than Halo 2. Also, Xbox Live is a blast, here is a convo I had.

I still think Halo 2 is better because you don't move real slow like in GoW, and can find cover too. And don't say Halo 2 is overrated.

Halo in general is rather overrated. *hypocrasy* I mean, yeah it's fun and easy to get a hold on, but is it really something that the makers should really be that proud of? Does it really do anything that innovative or new?

It's not innovative, but it's fun and I'm fine with that. I don't make a big deal out of it I just like Halo better than Gears of War even though it's less realistic. I really don't care how realistic a game is.

Okay. This is one of the rare times that you get to see me admit that I was wrong. Gears of War is a beautiful game and is also a lot of fun. I was a little thrown off at first but the more I delved into it the more I like it. That is except for the final stage. I was ready to beat the brains out of the developers by the thirtieth attempt to defeat General Raam. But I finaly did it. And I enjoyed it.
Also, I finally hooked up the 360 to the internet and started playing it online. This is my first experience with online gaming and I must admit that I haven't had so much fun in years. I like the 360. Forgive me for making unfounded accusations about the Microsoft corporation. The greedy bastards. |
