OWF Slow to Load?

Hey all.

I'm finding that when I visit OWF after about 10pm Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (11am UTC/British, 6am US Eastern time) that pages load reaaaally slowly or not at all. Sometimes they will start loading and then churn for a while until I hit reload.

Is anyone else getting this?

Slaveless 01-23-2007 02:50 AM

It happens to me as well, but only in a specific time frame. It gets annoying because I can't visit the site for some time. Yet it always work fine whenever it isn't in this time frame. Yer not the only one. Maybe Searex or Alcar knows?

I've been experiencing very slow loading lately too, It's been getting a pain, and there are a number of occasions where I very nearly double post!

Mojo 01-23-2007 10:53 AM

No problems here.

moxco 01-23-2007 11:09 AM

Please ignore this post, the long loading made me double post.

Wil 01-23-2007 11:13 AM

I’ve just encountered this slowness for the first time. ’Tis quarter past eight UTC.

moxco 01-23-2007 11:17 AM

I live in Brisbane Australia [Australian Eastern non Daylight Savings Time, yes Queensland doesn't have DST] and after 9pm and before 7am it takes ages to load.

I just notice that the OWF won't load at all sometimes, but it comes back up in a few minutes. Weird.

I noticed it last night. Only managed to get to my CP before giving up. Can't be heavy traffic, I mean this is OWF.

Zerox 01-24-2007 11:42 AM

I haven't experienced it here, but it does that att he serebii forums well every other time I try to go on the b*oody site.

Jordan 01-24-2007 12:19 PM

Serebii? That's the pokemon fansite right? It must happen to lots of forums then, is it vBulletin being a d**k? :p

Nate 01-24-2007 04:06 PM

I doubt it. It's most likely a server-side issue, which would make any similarity to another vBulletin forum a coincidence.

E'l Scrabino 01-24-2007 04:45 PM

Yeah it's happening for me right now...

moxco 01-24-2007 05:14 PM

Now it happens to me any random time of the day.

snuzi 01-24-2007 08:04 PM

It's never slowed down for me before. Perhaps it just depends on the internet connection?

E'l Scrabino 01-24-2007 08:12 PM

Perhaps... I'm not entirely sure...

moxco 01-24-2007 08:15 PM

I dont think so, because I got realy good internet conection and unlimeted downloads. I think it's the website.

Nate 01-24-2007 09:59 PM

In any case, now that we've established that it's not just me having this issue, there's no point speculating until El Presidente returns from his mystery holiday.

E'l Scrabino 01-24-2007 10:33 PM

Or E'l Scrabino finds out how to fix it :D

Lol jks. When's 'El Presidente' getting back?

Alcar 01-26-2007 07:38 PM

No idea why that's happening, our host hasn't placed a notice about it, so if it continues any further, I'll get them to look into it.

Alcar...
