I am stuck at the Port Authority! HELP!
 

I am in Mongo Valley. I have just accepted the Lefty Lugnutz bounty. This basically involves learning a sleg call and what not. I talked to the ex-hunter who has sent me to kill a sleg and in return he will help me learn the call. The only problem is I cannot leave the town! People in the town keep saying to follow the river out of town past the waterfall. Huh? I eventually checked walkthroughs for the game which said I need to walk to the port authority desk with my pass in hand and he will open the door for me. However, there is no one at the desk. I do have the pass. Anyone have this problem or know what to do?

Have you been beating people up so they run and hide? There's a bug so that sometimes they don't come out again. If that's the case, then you have no choice but to go back to a previous savegame - I lost a loooot of time that way.

But give us more detail; which desk is empty? The one at the bottom of the PA near the town or the one at the top near the entrance to the river?

I do tend to run into people as I am running through the town at top speed jumping around. All the people are still out walking around though. I was thinking someone should have been behind the PA desk with all the computers behind it and near the door with the sign that says "Mongo Valley River Exit." I know on the other side of town there is that elevator that doesn't open either... I restarted the level where you start up on the high cliff overlooking the town. I go and cash in my bounty, buy my pass, talk to the sleg-hunter, and there is still no one at the desk. I am not sure where the entrance to the waterfall is though... I don't know what other info I can give. I wonder if I just start another bounty besides Lefty Lugnuts if that will clear it out. Thanks for you help.

haha, I know where you're at. But I just dunno how to explain because it's weird. Just keep heading to the end of town. and you should go into like some sort of wooden thing with a guy behind a desk, you tell him to open the gate, and a metal door will open, head up through there and you should eventually see the river...

It's not so much a glitch as it is you knocking the gate keeper into the door, and so when it closes the gate keeper himself cannot get back to your side, therefore not being able to open the gate for you. It has happened to me, too.

Sorry, which desk? Are you possibly able to take a photo of your tv screen and post it here?

I think he is talking about the one nearest to New Yolk City.

I assume so. But if he's replayed it and there's still no Clakker there, perhaps he's not even looking at the desk. He may be in the wrong place entirely.

did you go to the general store and bought the ticket yet?

I restarted an older game, before Explosives Mcgee bounty and I stopped by the Post Authority and sure enough there is a guy behind the counter. Something made him leave in my previous game. I will replay from here which sucks but hopefully that guy will stay out and I can continue in the game. Thanks for the help!

Glad that it worked. Just be sure not to bash the Clackerz into the door entrance, so it won't happen again.;)
