Xbox Portable?
 

Nintendo did it. Sony did it. Why can't Microsoft? They've got the funding, Bill Gates is up his neck with cash and wiping his ass with dollar bills.

Yet, he doesn't know that those shit-covered bills could make him more.

So...do you think a portable Xbox deelie would be good? And if not...why not?

It would be good, exept it would be hard to do without coping another portable game device.
He will also have decide if actuly an xbox or not for eg. will he give it the same controls [like l-trigger, r-trigger, white and so on...] or will he give complete diferent controlls. The psp doesnt have 2 thumb-sticks instead theres only that little twirly thing [im pretty sure theres only one please correct me if im wrong.] Yes but would be great if they invented Xbox portable.
Then microsoft would have to make sure they dont copy nintendo ds or psp, or they could get seud.

They shouldn't, at least not yet. They just released the 360 and there's a great line-up of games for it, so they should milk it for a while, then maybe consider a portable Xbox console of some kind.

They're already making one...it just won't be out for a while

Another portable? Microsoft are gonna have to be careful, if they copy the DS or the PSP they are gonna get in some trouble...

My friend told me they're making the "Xbox 180" or something. He said it would have Xbox graphics which I doubt.

Hmm, an Xbox Portable could work. I mean, take a regular 360 controller, cut it in half, put a decent LCD screen in the middle, done.

Besides games, what about online play? If they'd release games for XB Portable and 360 together, with XB Live they could make a lot from it.

As well as downloading music and the such, making it a portable MP3, but that is kind of taking a leaf out of the PSP's book.

To make an xbox portable game what would they use instead of a disk/

And they cant copy what the game boy uses or they'll get in trouble.

I don't really care if they copy the PSP, to me it's a shit portable anyway...
I wonder how much the thing'll cost? The PSP is nearly 200 pounds, the DS is 100 pounds, so I think the Xbox portable will cost at least 180 pounds, I can see it being very expensive!

Nintendo has their for transferring data and playing against each other sparked by tamogotchi thinking on terms of pokemon etc.

PSP is one that you can watch movies on it (hating the fact that they are expensive and might well be better with a portable dvd player with screen)

xbox portable would have to be better and bader and something which no one has done. Plus games tend to be dumb down to fit into the Cartilage(spl games boxes :p). Take oddworld adventures for gba. Personally I thought it lost all feeling to it as you were playing on the ps or pc.

People at school'll start bringing in their Xbox portables and showing em off like they do with PSPs, and soon they'll be bragging about their PS3s, which annoys me, what's so special about it...? I wonder what the new Sony console'll be called... Lemme guess, PS4? Or, Sony Pii!? :p

I don't see it happening. Why would Microsoft move into an already overpopulated market with a new video games system. I think they learnt that lesson with the original xbox.

You do know that the xbox sold at a loss for all but the very beginning of it's sale life. It was avstly overshadowed and outsold by the PS2.

Are you kidding me? They didn't make enough 360s at launch, it was going for the grands at Ebay. The Xbox was a success like it or not.

If it was cost effective yet the quality was on par with the original Xbox, you'd have one sweet combo. Imagine playing like Halo with 16 other people on a portable but being wirelessly linked up.

I just liked Xbox for the Bigness of the Controllers, No need of Memory Cards, and Halo...

PS2 had Metal Gear. and a few other games. But yeah.

I think in a way, a Xbox Portable MAY be OK. But I think we have too many hand helds now a days... If the graphics were up to par with the Xbox, I am sure it would cost at least 200 Bucks.
