MMORPG

Yeah, I know, it's bad... I tried to quit, but I figured I needed them - I had far too much spare time and other game genres can't seem to hold the interest for long enough.

That aside, does anyone else play any MMO's?
Currently I'm on City of Villains, level 23 Brute. Can post a pic if anyone's interested.

If no one else plays any at all, we can change it into concept ideas for an Oddworld MMO which I've always wanted :P

dripik_12 12-22-2006 04:22 AM

what MMO is?:)

Well, I only play one Online Internet RPG and most of the time, I can't get onto it. But it is quite interesting and fun when I can. It's known as 'Adventure Quest RPG'. You choose what your character looks like and such. It's actually quite fun. BUt I've started to lose interest. I'm not the biggest fan of Online RPGs.

Goresplatter 12-22-2006 04:27 AM

MMORPG = Massively multiplayer online role-playing game. I was thinking in the direction of the pay-to-play ones, as they seem to be of a much better quality and standard, but yes, free ones are ok too ;)
What's Adventure Quest like by the way? You see alot of adds about it on Gamespy, I know that XD

Abraham Lure 12-22-2006 04:49 AM

Well, you don't play with or against other players. And you can't chat or anything with them either. Which is a bit of a downside. But the style is almost manga/anime and the way of fighting. Levelling up is easy and most enemies are a challenge. It's pretty good. I give it a 4 out of 5

For an MMORPG, I play World of Warcarft. God, that game can get addicting to some people. :|

Laser 12-23-2006 05:04 AM

I would love to be playing WoW or City of Heroes (I remember seeing that in the shops during my visit to Canada- and wanting it).

But my Internet connection is not reliable enough (only people in the movies have reliable Internet connections) and as for the monthly fee, well, I don't have an income that can support it. I don't actually have an income.

Anyone ever played MapleStory? That MMORPG is really good, the graphics are beautiful! ;) And guess what...? It's free! We all love free! :)

I have a reliable internet connection, but you are in university halls arn't you?

I did play them at one time. First it was Runescape, then Kal Online, then Silkroad Online and then I was tired of the pointless, monotonous cycle of killing monsters, collecting the resources over a long period of time, and buying items. The immense lagging was a real killjoy as well.

I suppose Runescape was the best in terms of compatability and just generally having fun. Only problem was that.............well, it's Runescape.

Goresplatter 12-24-2006 11:48 AM

Everyone getting City of Heroes / Villains, I would have to ask to join Defiant server ;)

I used to play World of Warcraft, but after wanting City of Villains for ages, I finally got it, and I find it much better in terms of gameplay, graphics, server stability, customisation... WoW used to be great, but Blizzard is slowly but surely screwing it up :S

Strike Witch 12-26-2006 01:53 AM

I ignore MMORPGs......until they bring out Star Trek Online....Jeez, that'll be a strange one. :p

The Red Muse 01-05-2007 12:52 PM

Huzzah for the mind-numbing entertainment that is World of Warcraft!

Not that anyone gives a flying f- about what I play, but... I'm in the mood for some good old fashion spamming. Ayup.

And greets for those who still remember me :P

moxco 01-05-2007 05:49 PM

I use to play RuneScape exept i got bored.
Try conquer online it's fun and free.

They should make an Oddworld online.

I now play Habbo Hotel exept you have to pay to get furni.:(
Anyone know any thing good and free.

Jordan 01-05-2007 11:55 PM

I think Runescape is very crap and tacky... -_- I don't mind Habbo, but you
get all the chavs and fake babies on there, very annoying...

Have you ever heard of Oddworld Hand of Odd, Moxco? That is supposed to be an online game, but they haven't released it yet, all they
released was art for it, but I wonder if OWI will actually make it?

I played Silk Road online once, but this stupid old machine I'm using is too slow and makes the graphics look pants!

Awesome, but as you say... strange...

Especially with the general MMO crowd...

Hirogen: "1 R 73h P\/\/NZ U W1V 4 737ry0n r1fl3!!11111lol111!11oneone"

Klingon: "OMG N00B 73try0n 1Z 4 1mb4 N00B5 N00b!!!!!!!111"

Borg: "LOL w3 R 80RG, 1 w1ll m4|<3 (_) lyk m3 50 yu0 pwn mor3 lolol"

*shivers*

And that L3375P34K took me an appallingly long time to write :p

Strike Witch 01-07-2007 04:08 AM

I'd like to amend my previous statements about MMOs.....

um....

I play *cough* Second *cough* Life *cough*

Don't judge me.
