Anniversary!

Yup, it's been 5 years since I joined OWF. Huzzah for me! ^_~

Nate 12-21-2006 03:15 AM

Woot. It appears that all us Munchies have just or are soon reaching their fifth anniversary. Congratulations Mojo, say I!

Xavier 12-21-2006 04:09 AM

Congrats Mojo!

Rex Tirano 12-21-2006 06:30 AM

dripik_12 12-21-2006 08:55 AM

er...Happy Anniversary, Mojo!;)

Wil 12-21-2006 10:09 AM

Pfft, I never celebrated my first lustrum on OWF with a thread. I’m not so proud, unlike you lot.

Happy lustrum, Mojo!

Arxryl 12-21-2006 03:16 PM

Congrats Mojo! Happy anniversary dude!

aaj111 12-21-2006 03:22 PM

5 Years? Holy Shit... Were the forums way more active back then? TELL US!

skillya_glowi 12-21-2006 04:33 PM

Wow...5 years is a (relatively) long time to spend on a forum...so I'm glad you were up to it. Happy anniversary ^^

Mojo 12-22-2006 12:57 AM

Many thankies!

Yeah, the forums WERE a lot more active back then. But that's because there were three fairly new games (AO, AE and later MO). Now, Oddworld is kinda.... Dead.

Hobo 12-22-2006 01:56 AM

Wow, we all need lives.

Mojo 12-22-2006 08:24 AM

I have one now, but I need SOME nostalgia :P.

EDIT: OMGWTFBBQ! Hobos banner FTW!

Creepy Doc 12-22-2006 11:56 AM

Wow, full five years? Have to be special. So, congratulation!

Spirrow 12-23-2006 10:39 AM

Oh, wow, congradulations, Mojo! On a scale of -1 to 10, you've
officially reached -5. Happy Anniversary, dude.

Edit:
Actually you haven't even been here five years seeing as
you dissed your former name, AlphaScrab. Your new reality
has been here less time than I have, Mojo. (Laughs like
a maniac.) ...Yet I've never heard of any newbie becoming
a moderator that fast.

skillya_glowi 12-23-2006 11:38 AM

Silly boy, he's still the same guy.

Jordan 12-23-2006 12:38 PM

Happy anniversary, Mojo! Wow, 5 years! Did this forum get closed a while a go? Or is it just me?

Spirrow 12-23-2006 10:10 PM

Nah, the fluids of life haven't left the forum in a long while...or
ever since Peter upgraded it for the benefit of the moderators.
And we have to suffer the changes.

Congradulations, AlphaMojo.

AlphaMojo lol! I think I remember him as AlphaScrab...
Is this why the time travel happened, because Alcar updated the forum?

Alcar 12-24-2006 03:46 AM

The time travel meant that posts/new members/data made in the week (or roughly that amount of time) in question were erased due to my lack of foresight.

It was a direct result of wanting to upgrade the forums from vBulletin 3.5.4 to 3.6.0. There weren't that many changes, most of it goes unseen, unless you're an Administrator, Global Moderator, Super Moderator or Moderator.

Alcar...

Spirrow 12-24-2006 05:30 AM

Oh, Alcar, you boasted about it being easier when you give warning
to people because you don't have to type a PM alerting the person
to why he got from scratch and plenty of other things, probably.

Actually now that I think about it, only the postbit shape changed and the
fact that normal members can report troublesome posts by clicking the report
icon in their postbit is our only advantage.

Happy 5th OWF Birthday, AlphaMojo. Yes, that's your new name in
my book to make sure you don't forget your so-called "childish" former
username!

Cullen Heath 12-24-2006 12:00 PM

Congrats, man!

Wow, we all need lives.

Why are you using ParamiteAbe's Signature?

Wil 12-24-2006 03:02 PM

It’s not as if PA is using it much these days.

My postbits haven’t changed, and users have always been able to report individual posts. ;)

They never do, though. They jump in their themselves and start adding to the clutter any spam post makes.

Nate 12-24-2006 06:32 PM

What?! I get reported posts all the time. Mostly someone I've never heard of taking offence to some minor slight. Or complaining that someone revealed the ending of AE without a spoiler warning.

The postbits changed because Alcar hasn't had the time to fix the industrial theme yet. He's been far too busy with, umm... I probably shouldn't say.

Yay Nostalgia. Congrats man you now have joined the rest of us in our half a decade of forum participation. Weird how a lot of stuff has changed these past few years, right?

Yet how some things will never change as well!:)

I thought that all reported posts were reported to all of the relevent moderators. This bemuses me.

How have they changed? I always use the industrial theme, and they appear fine.

Statikk HDM 12-25-2006 05:42 PM

I can't wait for my 5th year anniversary!
And to think I lurked for a damn long time before I posted, too.
Edit: Well, 6 year anniversary, at least. Has it really been 6 years?

Okay, "All the time" may have been a little bit of an exaggeration. But I find they tend to come in waves.

It's slightly larger, I think. Certainly the layout has changed and we're missing the sex-symbols.
