I have a quick question.

I may be slow, but next to each members name there is the oddworld inhabitants sign. Some are red and some are green, and there may be other colors that I don't know about...but what does all of this mean!?

And, another question!
How come the three word story thread was closed and the ban game thread was closed? I can kinda understand why, but why didn't a moderator post the reasoning for it being closed.

Thank you for your time.

EDIT: I have yet another question! The ARt of Oddworld book, how much is it? Where do I get it? Is it still possible to get it and what all is inside of it.

Once more, thank you for your time

snuzi 12-16-2006 03:26 PM

Well, green means the member is online, and red means that the member is offline. Haven't ya ever tried to place your cursor right over it? It says just that :p

I really don't know why they were closed. Probably because the mods thought we were spammming or something. There's a thread Statikk HDM has started a thread about it here.

Finally, you can find the Art of Oddworld book here. As for the price, it varies.

EDIT: Also, this belongs in Forum Suggestions and Help, since two of the questions aren't concerning Oddworld. Someone should probably move this.

Sorry! I am really not so good at where my threads should go. I am sorry, once more. I'll try to get better at it.

Also, thank you very much. It is much appreciated that you've helped me.

It's no problem, Taytay, just read the little descriptions under the forums before ya post, and you'll be fine :p

And, you're very welcome. I'm glad I could help :)

I don't see these online/offline buttons, but I am using the classic Industrial skin. Does it only show for the newer skins?

snuzi 12-19-2006 10:55 AM

No, it works for the Industrial one too. It's the OWI symbol right next to the username.

Spirrow 12-19-2006 10:56 AM

Actually the green skin was the original for the forum, but if you change
it to "Native" you'll see the online/offline icons.

The threads got closed because it became a huge spam fest between several members. Spam is not tolerated in the OWF and so the threads were closed. The thread about it can be found here.

Like everyone else has said the little green/red buttons tell you whether or not a member is online. I was unsure whether you meant the little purple dots under the avatar [which change colour depending on whether you're a moderator, admin or specialy loved member].

*Bumbles off*

Actually, for the industrial skin, the online/offline indicator is in the bottom left corner of the info field (or on the bottom left of the entire post).
