Was there a member named Tosca someting on these forums?
 

hello!

im searching for someone named tosca something... i searched the members list but he/she i not there. for some reason im pretty sure he/she had been on this forum. i might be wrong.

Doesn't ring a bell? When was he/she on here you think?

Even though I've been gone for a while, doesn't sound familiar.

honestly? i have no clue. im a newbie so yeah... but i thought the other day i have read something like this as the author of a thread.

the reason why im searching for this person is because he uploaded the Oddworld Bonus DVD on some site, and abandoned seeding when i was almost done... since than nothing happens and im desperate to get that treasure.

the only reason im not buying it is because i cant. this DVD shipped only for a limited amount of time with Stranger's Wrath and now im pretty sure this is the only way i can get it. (for those who dont know this is a DVD containing all the movies from AO, AE, MO and the intro of SW + extra movies Hand of Odd trailers etc...)

i want to live with the opportunioty and ask anyone who can help me get this. im willing to buy it... i think :p

oh almost forgot! when i searched for his name in the search engine and started typing, two names popped up: Tosca and i think Tosca48 when i clicked on them it said i dont have enough privilages to access them or something

#1: Please don't double post. You can use the edit button on the bottom of your post to change a previous one.
#2: If there is no-one called Tosca on the member list, then they have never existed as Alcar is loathe to delete any members - even the spammy bot ones.

The member list only displays members which have at least one post, so there is a great number of members who do not show up. Secondly, 15 members have been deleted on the OWF. I have never deleted a member myself, but over the course of our tenure, some have been deleted. I am still strictly against it, and no member has been deleted for a few years now.

glokstar, in answer to your question, there are indeed two members which you could be talking about. You would not have been able to view their profiles, as they were never activated by their owners.

ill just give up on finding this person than... although im very angry! any of you knows a way in which i can get my hands on the Oddworld Bonus DVD? i have not seen it anywhere except for that one site...

Ah, since Alcar know everything there is to know about members, at the risk of reopening old wounds from the 2001/2 fiasco- why was Grid banned? I remember a while ago I was looking at his fanfic and wondering whether a PM about it would ever result in it being updated, but on his profile I saw he was banned. How come?

As he's not banned, although I do think he just seemed to slip out of Oddworld fandom. He used to run a Geocities website on Oddworld as well. However, the name rings a bell, are you not talking about another member with a similar user name (although I can't think of it off the top of my head)?

Never heard of Tosca... Alcar did you ever delete a member called Shrykull_2005?

That name seems very familiar...It's interesting to reference some of these members as "oh yeah I remember..." time sure does fly by quite quickly.

I have never deleted a member.

I did however, do a search for that member, and Shrykull_2005 is in the database. He/she never confirmed their registration via email.

He's the one, Alcar. I could've sworn the last time I checked that profile, it said he was banned. Or at least, I asked a staff member about it and they said he'd been banned. Weird. Oh well ,guess he just left.
