I am confused about Munch's Oddysee
 

hi all,

i just finished munch's oddysee 2 days ago. its a great game, i loved it. but i dont get some stuff. on the web, and even on the back cover of the atual box of the game i see scenes that i have never seen in the game. this is really annoying cause some of these scenes look really exciting and all, but where are they?
also, ive seen some of those pr-render real time game visualizations out there... there are some with sligs climbing ladders. why cant sligs climb ladders in the game, it would be really cool.
one more thing: the flub fuels facility in the game is completely different than the flub fuels facility i see on the web. on the web, its not an underground thing, but a separate building in the middle of a foresty area, shaped like a fuel tank, why? that second one seems much more detaild and exciting. why did they leave it out of the game?
and even one more thing... on this forum, i think even under this topic, someone was talking about a level called Glukkon and was describing it. well i didnt meet anything such in MO.

It would have made the game easier to create if they had arranged and deleted a few thing a little. Plus the game always have deleted things that you might see on the back of the box cover but never in the game.

Just like in the stockyards of AO when people talked about the screenshots with paramites in it.

Glukkons are a species. They're the ones you possess and steal all their money.

Flub Fuels does look like a giant fuel tank when you're approaching it from the outside.

Those scenes were created early on to demonstrate their ideal of what MO should look like but for various reasons a lot of stuff was taken out.

Almost all of that was when the game was ment to be on the PS2 but, as was said before, OWI changed to Microsofts Xbox and in the process took out many of the things seen and talked of. There were numerous other reasons such as time contraints and the such that also took away from the original product.

Oh please, dont make me look bad by thinking i dont know who glukkons are... :P why do u think my name is glockstar (it is mispelled i know...) and why do u think my avatar has Lulu the GLUKKON on it? im a big fan of glukkons.

all i know is that ive seen someone on these forums who was talking about a level named "Glukkon" in munch's oddysee and i was surprized cause i didnt meet anything such. maybe i missunderstood. still searching for that thread...

The GBA Munch’s Oddysee game has a level called ‘Glukkon’. That’ll be what they were refering to. :)

ohhhhhh!!! god! i was actually thinking about that but i was hoping. i dont know... how is the GBA game? it shouldnt be very fun... the first thing that grabbed me about oddworld was graphics...

ok guys and girls. i think im not too confused any more actually thanx to you :) i was hoping i had a restricted version of the game or whatever so there is more oddventure ahead i can participate in if i get my hands on the real one... (rather stupid...) but no. although i still love munch's oddysee.
