Perfect AO

I've finally managed it! Sorry I don't have...erm, any proof, but I thought I might just let you know anyway...It took FOREVER, but I pledged to try at least once each weekend...First time through, I died in Stockyard Escape when I accidentally slipped off a ledge. Second time through, I died in the Scrabanian Temple after doing the Paramonian Temple, running into a bomb (what a stupid way to die after going halfway). Third time through, I died via meat saw in Zulag 1. Fourth time through, I died in the boardroom where I somehow missed the ledge under the timer...and fifth time through, finally, I finished it without dying. Accepting congratulations...

Matriar 11-05-2006 10:24 AM

Well, congratulation! :)

Slaveless 11-05-2006 03:56 PM

Ah, Im impressed. I wouldn't be able to do that, not in years. Being that I'm the kind of guy that can play, not dominate. But congrats! I love this record. Yet, I will drop to my knees saying, "Teach me your great talents, oh wise, beautiful one." like some nerd. Or weirdo. Whatever.

I'm only disappointed that you just put my 'No QuikSave' game of mine into shame.

Xavier 11-05-2006 11:15 PM

well done :)

even if it's such an exploit, I have to see to believe it.
So unless I see some proof I can't realy worchip you for this

but if you did, very well done!

Arxryl 11-06-2006 04:40 AM

Good job! I haven't even saved all the mudokons yet.

Congrats!

ODD-BOD 11-06-2006 07:09 AM

congrats !! i wonder if anyone can pass the whole game without dying AND save every mudokon??

skillya_glowi 11-06-2006 05:51 PM

I'm still thinking about what to do to prove it XD (then again, I'd have to do it over again) Any suggestions? (without buying extra software or all that shit, but imagine, if it was a video, it would be more than an hour long, and it would take about twice as long to download and even more to upload, so you see why the video idea is kind of...out there)

Sure, it's possible (to do it perfect with all of the employees) , but *ahem* goodluck trying...I mean, I damn near bashed in the computer monitor when I died in the Boardroom, I wonder what I'm gonna do if I get that far with every Mudokon...

Slaveless, to tell you the truth, even I can't play AE with no Quiksave. Still, considering I got the game a few months ago...And that definitely is a record...

Now I wonder who has the fastest speed time?

ziggy 11-06-2006 06:44 PM

daaaaang.. good job!

That must have taken a lot of patience, I couldn't die halfway through the game and then start all over. Wow... but it would be cool to see a video, but that would mean you'd have to do it again...

ZANGG 11-06-2006 11:54 PM

I'd die countless times in Paramonian Temple(the secret area and the screens with the rocks). Apart from that, I should be fine if I tried.

Slaveless 11-07-2006 03:57 AM

Hm, without buying software? Maybe you could video tape your success seperate sections of showing how you did it. It would be hard, being that you would have to repeat everything you did. And each section could be like 15 minutes long. That way, you can revive your tape by downloading it into the computer. And then, you could place it here. And we could save time watching the footage! Then again, the quaility might not be so great... But that is my idea.

Ahh, shucks. *blushes* Well, I'm very impressed with your's since you never died once. I didn't do that in AE.

You're fucking crazy.

You're fucking crazy.

In what way? :p

Slaveless, that's true, but that wouldn't exactly be proof since I could just tape the segment over instead of the whole game. It would prove that I can do the level perfectly, but not the game at once...see where I'm coming from?

Oop, I meant I died in Zulag 1 via meat saw, not Zulag 3. Silly me…There even aren't any meat saws in Zulag 3...

magic9mushroom 11-07-2006 05:44 PM

Could this be merged into my previous thread? Apart from that, well done!

ZANGG 11-07-2006 06:44 PM

Hm, there are better ways to bypass the censor of the word fuck.

Anyway, I could've sworn there was a meat saw somewhere in Zulag 3... or maybe I'm just getting mixed up.

magic9mushroom 11-07-2006 07:01 PM

There is meat smashing, but no saw.

Xavier 11-18-2006 01:43 PM

a friend of mine got to Paramonia without saving muds
but it's still impressive:

skillya_glowi 11-18-2006 08:16 PM

Ooo

I'm going to see the vid as soon as I can...and yeah, that's really good

Zebulon 11-27-2006 01:08 PM

hey, good work, did it myself during some depressing weekend last winter. i got killed twice by the spikeballs in the paramonian temple though. has anyone ever tried the "help abe together"-function? me and a friend made it to scrabania together one night during one of our lan nerdfests, sharing the anxiety of getting killed in the stockyards by the two guarding sligs (you know wich ones) over and over again.

erwinraaben55 11-27-2006 01:39 PM

Strange, the movie autoplays in WMP, but it has only sound, and the moving graphics (visualisation or something like that) like when you play a normal song. So it's not black screen.
My DIVX movieplayer won't play it at all, so isn't quicktime.

Killy 11-27-2006 03:49 PM

Whoa. I'm speechless, really, that's impressive - congratulations! I would have never been able to put up with that game so many times. Then again, I spent well over two weeks ripping it...

On a side-note - I noticed you launched your walkthrough site, so let me say congratulations for that as well.

aaj111 11-27-2006 08:16 PM

Congrats, but did you save all the Muds?

skillya_glowi 11-27-2006 08:44 PM

Noooooooo XD
That would have taken FOREVER...and forever is a little too much for even my kind of patience...

Just so you know, I saved 2 mudokons.
Needless to say, I got the bad ending :D

aaj111 11-28-2006 05:53 AM

I want the killing bonus, that seems so freaking awesome.

Zebulon 11-28-2006 01:21 PM

i remember some cheat from abe´s exoddus where you would fall of a ledge over and over again in feeco depot and thereby gain rescued mudokons. that was my way of getting a perfect AE.

snuzi 11-29-2006 08:09 AM

Hey Congrats :)

I myself would never be able to manage that. Perhaps in AE, but definitely not in AO.

ODD-BOD 11-29-2006 11:56 AM

AE would be way harder beacause it is soooooo much longer than AO

aaj111 11-29-2006 12:13 PM

Yes, and there are some parts of AE that are a little weird like. "What the hell am I suppose to do here!" and after 40 times dieing you finally see it.

snuzi 11-29-2006 12:24 PM

Actually, I find AE much easier than AO. I could definitely pass it without dying if I tried...quite a few times. Although, I wouldn't be able to save every Mudokon, that's for sure.

skillya_glowi 11-29-2006 05:36 PM

AE was waaaay too easy, what with the quicksave and all...I finished it in a month's time with all four endings (all honestly, of course...not that I have something against cheats, but if I use them before finding the real way it does something to my pride). It took me two years to finish AO (on and off, of course) and 5 years to get a perfect AO.
(Well, I wasn't trying every day, but I seriously didn't know there was any sort of bonus in that game until about a year or two ago. So...)

aaj111 11-29-2006 06:43 PM

I've never gotten past the part on AO where you're suppose to get both the Scars at once, Now we just use Level Select to get past that part... I know not very sportsman like of me...
