Given that Oddworld is (if I remember my Oddology correctly) ten times as big as Earth, it's not improbable that an Oddworldian day is much longer than a Tellurian day.
Also, consider this. In the opening sequence of AE, it shows Abe and his buddies trekking through the desert. However, Abe doesn't tell the distance they travelled, only the time. At breakfast, they were all excited, by lunch they were beginning to tire, and at dinner they were exhausted. Now, there's two ways to look at it: first, these could simply mean that travelling on foot in the heat of the desert was grueling, and sapped their energy quickly. However, these Mudokons were freed slaves, so probably had a sturdy constitution. Which leads me to another interpretation: "Breakfast," "lunch," and "dinner" could be times in a much longer Oddwroldian day, meaning they travelled a very great distance in the desert. Notice also that it appears to be quite a while before sunset when they see the train and make the final sprint to Necrum. A third possibility is that I could shut the hell up and ask Alf about it. |
240
240 240 It took abe 720 hours to beat both games! |
Actually... Assuming that 'ten times bigger' means ten times the surface area, the days would only be square root 10 times as long (or in other words, about 80 hours).

i go on the net to get the hell away from maths! but i guess they have to relate some things to earth or the gamer will be too confused like you guys are, like the language. the time barrier is probably the same as earth, oddworld must be closer to the sun and the sun might have a stronger orbit to give oddworld a faster orbit. the possibilities are endless so we'll just stick with a big chicken with a hockey mask.
