Yes, I do want kids, or one kid. Preferably a girl.

More than anything in this world, I want to have a family someday with at least one or two kids.

Children are quite possibly my favorite type of person. Such imagination, such innocence, and so much possibility lies within their little hearts and minds. Nothing is more beautiful in humanity. I suppose I romanticize childhood, and nothing would give me more pleasure than to fill in the type of motherly love and other wonderful, fun stuffs that my own childhood sometimes lacked.

Anyways, I've already had them so I guess my opinion doesn't matter, but it has made my life a great dal more meaningfull. I guess some people just don't really understand who they are until they are responsible for something so beautifull and fragile as a child. And I guess I'm one of those people.

I love children, and would like to raise a famly, But this ISN'T a world to bring children into. Its overpopulated, crowded, messy, and corrupt. I would rather not have kids and wait until the population levels out, or never have kids at all.

I was actually going to say that your problem is probably more with the parents than the kids. Children are maleable. If the parents are shitty people then the kids probably will be too. But if you have a parent who understand that loving your child does not mean giving in to their every whim and fancy but is also able to recognize that explanations are needed for denying things then you might actually grow a decent human being.

Edit in response to Ghost: Actualy the world has never been better. And anyone who says different has a real short memory. It used to be fashionable for men to have sex with young boys in Roman Times. The vast majority of slavery has been abolished. Anyone who goes around doomsaying and talking about how the world has gone to shit has merely bought into the conservative lie that everything was peachy back in the fifties before the start of women's lib and affirmitive action and should be forced to wear a sign stating "I is stupid". I will have two, which (if everyone also did) would lead to a stable population. As long as they all did so as well. I might get another if one fails a task of some sort (such as bomb diffusal).

It is one of my dreams to become a father. Yes, devoting maybe 27 years to raise children is probably on someone's to do list, but its about the love that counts. Having a family is something you could look back on and think about the days you were a kid, and think of all of the non-ecomony related things you did back in the day, and be proud that you let one or people do the same thing. And maybe having a child that grows into a decent human being is probably we could say that we actually accomplished in life.

Now if only I could be able to feel true love, that plan would succeed.

Well, you're technically still decreasing the population even if you have one child. It only replaces you and your spouse goes unreplaced. And thus, having two children neither decreases or increases the population (at least not immediately; the little buggers that you make may go off and have dozens of kids but that wouldn't be your direct fault), and of course, if you have more than 2, you can feel bad for increasing the population. Or something.

I love children, but they aren't for me. Besides, I wouldn't wish upon any child my form of parenting :p

Children are so adorable and sweet - 'specially the smaller ones :) Yes I do want some kids someday and it doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl - only if it's a healthy baby :)

That assumes all parents die the instant their last child is born.

I don’t want to have children for three reasons:

1. I can’t stand children.
2. I don’t want to raise a child in this society.
3. The human population needs to be cut down in size.

If I ever changed my mind, it would be adoption. Reduce existing unhappiness instead of create more of it.
