I would like to know: Are there/have there ever been groups on the forums? Or is this an unused residue of vBulletin?

Hm... that is interesting... I wonder...

It seems like it'd be a kind of thing left over due to the forums...

I believe that this is something that vBulletin offers but we have never used on OWF.

Rather than start a new thread if you click on the link at the bottom to see who's online, most of them are "Slurp Spiders".

These are programs that seek the internet to collect info you can find on search engines.

I have campiagned for groups in the past, but never any success. I demand a Hobo group where i hold my elite forum mates in a glass prison!

Eh, we could do something like that but I'm sure you'd get bored of it pretty quickly. Like a two-year old with something shiny.

It sounds like a complete farce to me.
