A snowstorm in October, you say?

Yes, I do say.

Today, it started snowing in the middle of the school day, which is wacky on it's own, being October and all. Snow keeps falling all day, I'm hanging out with some buddies, and we look to the backyard (which is fairly expansive) and find that it's covered with a fucking tree branch. Eeeek!

The thing about snow in October is: All the trees still have leaves. As such, the branches get heavy and snap off. My entire neighborhood is in havoc. Streets are completely blocked with fallen trees, my front lawn is entirely covered with what was formerly 1/4th of the tree on my front lawn. Also, there's lightning. And it's raining lava.

Pictures to prove it!

Yeah, its snowing where I live now, too.
But hey, middle of October in Wisconsin, just got to roll with it.
I'm hearing this will be a warmer winter though.

We got god's dandruff here in the Michigan, as well.

Britain rarely ever gets snow. At least not in the south (which is about level with Alaska). Hooray for the Gulf Stream! Does nothing about the rain though. Only the British could come up with the phrase: "Right as rain".

No, I live in the LP. About ten minutes from Detroit.

Yeah, it's still mild here in the UK. 10/11 celsius at night, 19/20 C during the day. . . At least down here in the South-East anyway, it's a little cooler further north.

That must've been odd though - Where do you live?

Hell, I once saw snow on a May afternoon.

Not surprisingly, it didn't settle. Though it rarely does under "normal" conditions, whatever that is.

I like your purple dress, Kimon.

It's in the 70's-80's here. I'm going to my school's beach today. XP

Boo on the falling limbs and whatnot. Other than that, the snow looks quite beautiful. I haven't seen snow like that since I was extremely young. As soon as everything gets cleaned up and under control, you should make a snowman.

The 80s?
Lucky bastich.
Won't be that warm for another 7 or 8 months!

Hobo 10-15-2006 03:54 AM

mitsur 10-15-2006 03:42 PM

Yeah, it went nuts a few weeks ago here in Udahoe. Just started dropping huge blankets of snow. It lasted for 2 days, and melted in half that time. Still, I got in a few good snow-ball fights or stuffing it down the shirt of my crush ;)
