Oddworld: Mudokon Escape

Yeah, that's right, I'm back. Briefly. Did anyone miss me?

Back on topic, I don't know if anyone remembers but me and cullen started a fan game a couple of months ago, Mudokon Escape (working title). Well me and Cullen decided to keep working on it. I'm not setting any release dates for now but I will post/attach a few teaser pictures for anyone who's interesed. I'll also post some other info later on. If anyone's got game-related questions, feel free to ask.:D

EDIT: Only one of the pics got attached for some reason. But...I don't have time to try to post the other pics now, I'll post sum later.

Thanks SH. I'm adding a couple of "concept pictures". I've added a posible logo, an experimental pic of abe in scrabania (made by cullen). Um, enjoy. More...stuff coming soon!

Is this going to be a 2D game like the old Nintendo, thinking along the terms of super mario?

The main page looks pretty cool I have to admit. Will we playing as Abe or some other mud?

Ohh, I did!:p

To answer your question, Ninjaxe, yes, it will be in 2D, but I'm not sure if we should be saying anything about the characters yet...;)

Here's some general information about the game:

Genre: 2D Adventure Game (AO and AE style)

Current controls and features:

-Left, Right, Up, Down
-Activate (with Ctrl)
-Jump
-Vertical jump
-Run (by holding shift)
-Quicksave & Quickload
-Game Pause (I'm really proud of this for some reason)

Current production status: Working slowly because I'm really busy. About 16% of the demo is done. Right now, I'm trying to get some basic animations done and try to get the game compatible with Macs. After that I'll move on to finishing of the characters, interaction and screens/areas. The last stage will be putting sounds and music in (provided by Cullen) and checking the game for bugs and errors.

More pictures coming soon.... for now, stay odd!

And thanks again Cullen for helping me out with this project.

Cool! hope it works!

Assuming you're using a proper language, pause is simple. Just stick the game in a seperate loop while pausing.

Thanks, guys. You will enjoy it, trust me.;)
We have both been pretty busy on both working on this, and tons of other stuff, as well. So you cannot expect anything too soon, but it's cirtainly worth the wait.
