Interesting Spore & Oddworld Related News
 

A while back (http://www.oddworldforums.net/showthread.php?t=12595) there was a thread in this very forum about the new Maxis game Spore. I posted in it that I was thinking of making a recreation of Oddworld in Spore. Well, it seems I wasn't the only one;

So, uhh... are they still working on 'Spore', or has it been canceled?

Spore has been pushed back to late 2007. Irritating, but if it means not screwing up, then it is a good thing.

I always planned on creating Oddworld, but you wouldn't be able to upload it because obscene and copyrighted content are hunted down and deleted for the Sporepedia. I would not upload them anyway (except on an independant forum) because if too much of you content is deleted then you are blocked from uploaded completely.

Oddworld in that game would be my reason to buy it ;)

Yeah, me too, but you have to admit, Oddworld takes a lot of brain power to come up with ways to justify it scientifically. Some of the concepts would do well in Spore though.
