Where would you live?

Im not sure if this has been asked before.. But if you lived on oddworld were would you live?

I would probly live in a log cabin in paramania... Not sure if i would get eaten by paramites.. :S

ANGRY ELEPHANT 09-23-2006 03:19 PM

The Mudokon Fortress or a small cottage in Paramonia.

Steef Head 09-23-2006 03:50 PM

I would live in the slig barracks or a steef village.

Kamille 09-23-2006 06:11 PM

Some nice native village sounds good and paramonia because odds are its cold there.

Zerox 09-24-2006 02:13 AM

Paramonia is lovely and natural. Doesn't look too hot either.
I think Paramonia is going to be the favourite for obvious reasons on the whole.

Creepy Doc 09-24-2006 02:26 AM

Vykker labs!

dripik_12 09-24-2006 08:13 AM

C.D.-

I would live in Slig Barracks:D

Bonedust 09-24-2006 08:35 AM

I love cold weather and the only places that has a cold climate in any of the games is Last legs and Secto Springs.
So as a native enviorment I would pick Last Legs.
And as a industrial enviorment I would pick Secto Springs

Luskan 09-24-2006 10:51 AM

yeah, i like the icy inviroment to. so i'd probably pick last legs.If not that, paramonia.

Bullet Magnet 09-24-2006 12:50 PM

It would have to be one of the new mudokon settlements in the Mudos wilderness or else one in Paramonia. The natives are rather irritable because of the changes to their world, but the newly freed ones are friendly but lazy. A perfect match! I don't think I could cope with the Grubbs, too depressing, and I can't tell one from the other, and I'd probably end up being shot at by the Clakkerz (for one reason or another). The outlaws are fun, but conflict with my moral values. I also fear steef fists.

Van_the_one 09-24-2006 08:58 PM

hmmm..
nice question...
New Yolk city
im alergic and dust... just ugh
and like bullet magnet.. im afraid of steef :S

Patrick Vykkers 09-24-2006 09:11 PM

I'd live in one of those blimp things that took Lulu to the auction.

Wil 09-25-2006 01:53 PM

Hmm, living in a Grubb village. I’d go for that. :D

Nate 09-25-2006 03:09 PM

Yup, I'd go for the Native Village also. Cool architecture, a great view and lots of little phallic guys running around.

Spirrow 09-26-2006 06:37 AM

In an industrial enviorment with plenty of visible pollution as well as
weapons I can take in the wilderness to blow it and it's inhabitants
away.

P.S. In the beginning I would have happily chosen a clean Native Village,
but...well I've grown a little against nature on Oddworld lately.

magic9mushroom 09-27-2006 11:27 PM

Industrial: let's see, RF is a bit dangerous and smelly, the Mines is a bit dusty, Feeco is full of train smoke (look at the Southern Cross debacle), The slig Barracks is unsafe as I could be mistaken for a target, Bonewerkz has too many hungry Dobermanns on steroids, Brewery doesn't exist anymore. Any place that hasn't been covered in a game is at risk of terrorist attack, so I have to say Vykkers Labs(a different franchise of course).

Native: Paramonia, for the same reasonsas erveryone else, although it might be getting a bit dangerous around the Temple with recolonization and all.

About the Vykkers Labs decision, I would make use of their technology to volunteer for an upgrade to a photosynthetic superintelligent organism that can do all the same stuuf as a TX terminator, and then I would fill up oddworld with asexual offspring in an outburst of reproductive ecstasy.

Crazy bastard, aren't I.

Arxryl 10-05-2006 09:32 PM

I would Travel. No better way to experience the majestic odd-ness of the world without seeing it all!
But after that I'd probably settle down in the spooce shrub forest. Or maybe the Monsaic lines.

ZANGG 10-06-2006 06:31 AM

Paramonia for sure. It's beautiful.

dripik 10-06-2006 12:36 PM

Living in Rupture Farms would be fun. I mean, it doesn't have Fleeches basically, what dangers are there appart from them? ...Well, yeah, the grinders, falling pieces of giant ribs and stuff, Slogs...

Any Mudokon village would be peaceful enough for me, too.

Bullet Magnet 10-06-2006 03:24 PM

Go traveling in an airship. Industrial or native, depending on your care for Oddworld, but that is probably the best plan. Untill issues such as food rear their ugly head. Or navigation. Healthcare. Basic hygiene, that's a good one, too.

Jordan 10-12-2006 10:03 AM

Tough one... Either Paramonia, as its nice and peaceful, the Monsaic Lines, where I'd be with a load of Mudokons, or Scrabania coz I love Scrabs!

:Idol: 10-12-2006 10:25 AM

paramoni\necrum\scrabania

Time Mist 10-12-2006 01:26 PM

Just a nice cottage in a native village. Perhaps with a paramite as a guard :D

Killy 10-12-2006 02:43 PM

Definitely the Monsaic Lines... It's very peaceful there and I like how the vegetation grows, plus all those nice statues in the background would be great for rock climbing and other activities!

Other than that, Paramonia wouldn't be bad either - for obivous reasons - nice environment, seems humid and balanced, plus the scenery with all those forests is absolutely amazing.

A Steef village of course! That would fit me perfect :D

Last Legs seems a nice place to live
or any other Grubb Village :p

Spirrow 10-13-2006 04:06 AM

You wouldn't want to climb the rock statues, would you. They
could break from your weight. Also probably half or more of of the
domes and other structures are mudokons dwellings.

Jordan 10-13-2006 05:50 AM

Imagine if they didn't break though, sitting on the bottom jaw of a Scrab statue, looking down at all those trees and mountains, it would be beautiful!

Spirrow 10-13-2006 06:40 AM

The Mosaic Lines are caves, Jordan. You don't see paramites in
Paramonia and in Scrabania where you can sit on the jaws, your
more likely to see cacti and the shrubby weeds that was in the
desert FMV at the beggining of AE. But it's likely if your in the
spot you might be able to stand on a statue and look out of the
natural crack in the walls of caves and see the forest below.

Have fun spelunking.

Thanks alot Einstein. Welcome to Oddworld. Way to carry a thread off-topic there, by the way.
