Richard Hammond?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/n...re/5367616.stm This is worrying. I hope he does recover. :(

Software Bug 09-21-2006 09:39 AM

Rex Tirano 09-21-2006 09:53 AM

The thread title is more than a little bit tasteless. The man isn't dead yet and apparently the signs are that he will make a successful recovery.

looney-bin 09-21-2006 11:48 AM

Sorry about it being abit tasteless. :(

DarkHoodness 09-21-2006 12:21 PM

He aint dead yet!

Though for his sake and his family I hope he makes a full recovery, but just some guy I don't know personally in the end.

looney-bin 09-22-2006 01:48 AM

OK. Some good news. It's just been announced that Richard has been moved out of intensive care, and is recovering.

Hobo 09-22-2006 01:55 AM

James May > Hammond

Seargentbig 09-22-2006 05:19 AM

That's hardly the point, right or wrong. Hope he makes a full recovery, wouldn't be the same without Hammond.

Bullet Magnet 09-22-2006 05:41 AM

It's good news that he is doing better, but to be honest, a high dependency unit is not much different from intensive care.

I, along with most of Britain and many other counrties, hope that he will make a full recovery, for is family, his friends, his fans, but most importantly for himself.

Mutual Friend 09-22-2006 06:40 AM

John Noakes > Hammond

Havoc 09-22-2006 07:52 AM

I'm gone for a few days and one of my favorite TV hosts crashes in a car? Goddamnit :p. I saw on MSN he's okay now though, or at least he's off the intensive care?

Mutual Friend 09-22-2006 08:28 AM

Read. Thread.

It's only short, after all.

Mojo 09-22-2006 08:29 AM

Let's hope for a fast recovery for The Hamster.

Rex Tirano 09-22-2006 10:24 AM

I think it's so cute his nickname is "Hamster". ^_^

But yeah, the high dependancy unit isn't much better than Intensive care but it's a step in the right direction.

I hope he makes a good recovery in hospital. If only he didn't ask for another shot. This wouldn't had happened.

^^

Mutual Friend 09-23-2006 01:42 PM

What ifs are stupid by their nature. No point in going there. What about all those other times where his actions meant he stayed alive? You never go after crossing the road: "ooh, whatif a speeding car just turned the corner and took me out!?"

^ Sorry to be the wrong side of serious in this kind of thread.

Good luck, Hammond!

Bullet Magnet 09-24-2006 12:36 PM

He's out of the High-Dependancy unit and continues to make a remarkable recovery. He is walking and talking. And it was a brain injury.

With all the Hammond-inspired donations to Yorkshire Air Ambulance they are able to by a second helicopter. They have so far raised £140,000, £50,000 from one person.

That pretty sodding impressive. We should get more cute celebreties to batter themselves.
