Hurricane! Oh noez!
Boo, my last hurricane evacuation thread was lost in the upgrade.
Anyway, once again, I am using this thread for whenever I have to evacuate my campus for a hurricane. I made it back safely last night and started my full schedule today. Little time to catch up at the moment.. Tell me if I missed anything terribly important.. like any un-democratic happenings. ;) |
There's a tropical storm coming for good ol florida I heard. Ambi what part of florida do you live in exactly? Cause I live in the south >.>.

St. Petersburg.. very close to Tampa. I guess it's around the middle of the west coast.
My school evacuated around 4 times last fall semester. I hope all this seasons hurricanes take Ernesto's path. (Sorry east coast!) |
So do you just escape to anywhere or does the university actually take you somewhere else to do your classes?
|
Did the hurricane actually pose an immediate danger, or was it just a safety measure? Any which way, it’s good to have you back with us safely.

They just tell us to leave and make sure that we have a place to go by requesting info like where we'll be, how to contact us, etc. If it's a long evacuation, the professor will send us assignments via email and a website.
Funny, the evacuation was cancelled 10 minutes before we were supposed to be out of our rooms because Ernesto's path changed. They told us we could all go wherever we had made plans anyway because it was the end of Autumn Term for freshmen (like a 3 week orientation of having just one class) and the upper classmen hadn't arrived yet. |
