Movies you've seen a million times
Back to the Future: Just on recently, made me start the thread. So quotable, too. "Give me a milk, Lou." Plus, Lea Thompson. Oh, Lea Thompson. The only thing that kept me sane after renting the Howard the Duck on Bad Movie Night(tm).
National Lampoon's Vacation/Christmas Vacation. Just on recently, too. I watch them yearly with my relatives, really good stuff. Unbelievable that you could say that Chevy Chase was one of the funniest guys alive for a good decade. What happened? "It could go deep under the skin and cause a nasty infection" Star Wars, IV and V: I've seen these at least 3 times a year for a good long time. Too bad VI, I, and II sucked so badly. Hooray for puppet yoda! Too many to list. Han Shot First! |
I've seen Aliens at least five trillion times.
|
This thread actually has brilliant timing as I watched Moulin Rouge again for the first time in a while. It's a brilliant movie that can still suck me in after I've seen it so many times.
Beyond that, I used to watch Space Balls every single time I visited one particular friend's house. I've probably watched that film more than any other movie. |
Shrek. Oh why did our school show it every christmas or end of term fro about 4 years. WHY!
|
Oh yes, I've also seen Shrek 101 times. Always in the context of showing to the one group of kids at my old youth group. I wonder that they didn't get sick of it either.

Trading Places - Now this is a film that I have seen more than enough times. Eddie Murphey is so funny. Speaking of Eddy Murphey
Coming to America - So amazingly funny. Finding Nemo- Every time my 4 year old cousin is down the house. :dead: The Terminal - Funny as Hell. See new things in it all the time. The obvious classics are coming up now. Jaws - Star Wars films - Back to the Future - ET Toy Story 1 & 2 Oh Star Trek: Nemesis and Star Trek: The Voyage Home Spielbergs WOTW - Every teacher for each of our lessons bought in war of the worlds for us to watch on the last week of school. By the end of the week in our lessons we were like "Cruise drives off - Man gets killed - Fanning screams" |
The Lion King 1 & 2 - Hard core fanboy :p
Every James Bond movie - Every single one of them at least 5 times. Thats all I can think off right now. |
Hellraiser – one of my favourite films, seen it quite a bit over the years.
Videodrome – maybe my favouritest film ever, lots of ambiguities and cleverness to chew over. The Rules of Attraction – I really like this film, but it isn’t one you can actually “enjoy”. It has Ian Somerhalder in it, and I’ve mentioned him a few times but damn, he’s gorgeous and he does some mega-uber-cute things in this film. The bed dance! The mirror dance! The crying in the snow scene! So, yes, I have seen this film many, many times (I usually show it to friends as well, that type of film), either in its entirety or just Ian’s specific sexy-bits when I need a, um, boost. Nightmare on Elm Streets – I really latched onto these films when I was little and I still loves ‘em. “Welcome to prime time, bitch!” Oh my. Naked Lunch – a recent craving. |
Trading Places rules. So friggin' funny. And plenty of good boobage. Definately a keeper.
Mel Gibson movies, the whole load of 'em. "Did you bring enough gum for everyone?" Lethal Weapon: "It keeps me warm" |
Shrek - I saw this film every single holiday, christmas, end of year, etc. at school.
Battle Royale and Moulin Rouge - My favourite films and I have seen them over and over and over and over... - Rexy |
The Monster - Great movie with Charlise Theron [sp] and Christina Rici [sp].
Hurricane - True story based on boxing and prision carier of hurricane (forgot his real name) Terminator 2 - I wached it a hundred times as kid. Booring... |
:
Please don't say that Moulin Rouge is a good movie. Please, please, please don't say that. That movie was foul, stupid, and poorly made. |
I've seen Antz on tv, school, theater so many god damn times. Yet...It's still good O.o.
|
I don't like Antz.Too...downright weird, along the same lines as Shrek. When I was younger, the only animated movie I could watch again and again was Ice Age. Pity that the second one was such a bastardization.
On Star Wars: I love IV & V, IV even more so, but for some reason want to roll my eyes at the other ones. Let's see: I've probably seen Tootsie a zillion times, my favorite comedy movie. Also, strangely, What About Bob? never gets old. |
Shaun of the Dead.
It usually goes on during band practice when we get pissed off at eachother to calm the mood. |
Childhood films:
Aladdin The Lion King Beauty and the Beast Mulan Babe The Emperor's New Groove The Nightmare Before Christmas Micro Cosmos The Brave Little Toaster Angsty Teenhood films: Kill Bill O Brother Where Art Thou? Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Hero House of Flying Daggers Chicago |
And Now It's Time For An Extremely Long List.
As A Child
The Nightmare Before Christmas At least three times a day. I used to hate the scene with Oogie :p Mars Attacks! I loved this movie from an early age. I thought it was the best thing ever. The Last Unicorn I literally wore the tape out :( Toy Story For obvious reasons. Casper the Friendly Ghost Still watch this movie tons. The graphics are still so crisp! Tremors Yes, I had strange taste even as a child.... My Neighbor Totoro Cute story and characters; not to mention lovely music! The Brave Little Toaster Don't ask, I have no idea..... As of Now.... Edward Scissorhands Makes me cry everytime I watch it! Spirited Away Also makes me cry. It's such a beautiful movie! Princess Mononoke Gorgeous illustrations and storyline Jacob's Ladder All-time favorite! Completely disturbing and inspired much of Silent Hill. Silent Hill For obvious reasons (AKA "Pyramid Head fangirl syndrome") Jonah! A VeggieTales Movie Catchy songs and great characters Hellraiser Very gorey and weird. Yay! Alien Resurrection I like this one best of all the Alien movies. Schindler's List One of Spielburg's best, I believe! Saw/Saw II Better than most crap Hollywood is spewing out nowadays. Jigsaw is so clever, like an enlightened Hannibal Lecter. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Always a favorite :3 The Thing Excellent monsters for its time! O Brother, Where Art Thou? Always good for a laugh! |

Tremors is the bomb.
"Just a few household chemicals in the right proportions." Another flick that I've seen a billion times is Gremlins. Love that movie. I guess Critters can get an honorable mention. |

Just... |
Abubuh?
Let me guess, you're a real fan of Cocoon: The Return? |

Aliens all the way. |
Indiana Jones I & II. Loved it when I was a kid and still watch it nowadays.
Dumb & Dumber. Kinda getting bored of it now. The Mask. Seen it so many times, it hurts. Robin Hood: Prince of thieves. The film I watched the most when I was a kid. I ended up wearing the video out. I bought it on dvd when it came out. Gremlins 2. Haven't seen the first one that much Asterix and Cleopatra. Watched that so much that I was able to talk along with it. Back to the future I II III. All frigging awesome. Never bored of them. When you're stoned it really spins you out. Nightmare before Christmas. I ended up losing my copy of it :( Home Alone. Every christmas time |
:
However, Cronenburg managed it and it is wonderful. Hurrah for talking bug typewriters. :
|
Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain. So pretty.
Aladdin. So pretty. Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Shame about the lack of a question mark, but it keeps me amused despite that. |
:
I also loved Gremlins 1 and 2 as a child. Over the years I've seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory more than any other movie. Classic. Simply classic. I've seen Aladdin and The Spongebob Squarepants movie far too many times... I used to work in a video store, and those were the only two movies we could play. |
I haven't even seen most of the films you guys have listed. The ones I have I have only seen like once.
Dumb and Dumber is ahead of everything else by like 20. I generally don't watch movies over and over. |
Oh and Shaun Of The Dead. Seen millions of times. And a load of girly films. But shhh...
