What kind of "Wheels" did you have as a kid?
While walking might have been fun as a kid most of us either had a bike or a scooter or a skateboard or rollerblades or something like that. What did you have to get around when you were little?
I had a Scooter when I was about 5. It was Blue. Then a few years later I had a Black BMX Bike. To me it was the coolest thing ever. |
I got a bike for my fifth birthday and was ridiculously excited. Then a few months later my dad unilaterally decided to take the training wheels off ("I never had training wheels, why should you?"). He tried to teach me to ride by the wonderful method of offering no sympathy when I fell off onto the bitumen and then threatening to spank me if when I didn't want to get back on.
Needless to say, I cannot ride a bike now and have never had any desire to learn. |
Training wheels ftw!
Around third grade I got a green scooter for Christmas. I found biking to peoples' houses in the town to be very difficult for me so I just used my scooter to get there. |
Used Jazz bike. Was 20 years old when I accidentally ran it over with the family van when learing how to drive. I miss that thing.

I had a bike first and had training wheels longer than most kids XD, after that I got a scooter that folded up because they were popular now I don't ride anything but would like to get a bike again.

I had a colorful pink, purple, and light teal bike that had training wheels on it for a really long time. I also had a pink barbie jeep, a blue peddling car, a tricycle, and another three-wheeled thingy.
*Feeling a bit nostalgic now* Hah, I always wanted my bike to have colorful, shiny streamers and a bicycle basket in the front, and today, I'm currently riding a teal bike with both of those (and spoke decor) around my campus. Fun, fun. |
I always use to wonder why kids would put cards on the wheels on their bikes I had a friend who did that.
|
I had a pink and purple Unicorn bike when I was....7?
I had a scooter with flame stickers when I was 8-9. |
I had a bike whole my life. First it was a three weel bike when I was 2, then two wheel bike with thrainings when I was 5 or 6, then one montain bike, and now another mountain bike. I am just inloved with longdistance ridings with friends. Me don't like scooters.

A plastic blue skateboard when I was 6. I couldn't ride it, but boy I could stand on it.
|
A red mountain bike with black crackle/lightning effect all over it. I loved it so much that I even turned down the offer of a new bike a few years later. Before that I had a bright green and red BMX with white tyres.[/reminiscing]

I used to have a bicycle. I think I still have it, but it hasn't seen the light of day in almost a decade. I think it's green.

Started witha kiddy bike, a 2/wheeler with training wheels. Around the same time I got my first skateboard. I couldn´t stand on it, so I sat down on one knee and used the other leg to push me forward. I was quite fast. Naturally, I got alot of scratches from doing this, when I crashed and stuff. Next I got a red BMX. My mom didn´t like all the dirt on the back of my clothes, from all the dirt coming off the back wheel. Then a blue and white MTB. I liked it very much. After that a red-black MTB, and a MTB/City bike hybrid. Last but not least, my current mike, a good citybike. It´s old, but it has brought me to alot of places.

A hand-me-down blue and yellow metal scooter. When I was little my Dad was never around enough to teach me how to ride a bike and my Mum never had the time. I loved that scooter but my Dad threw it out when we moved house.
Then my first bike was a pink one with a teddy seat in the back. I always wanted some handle bar streamer things though. - Rexy |
Oh yeah, I remember, I also had this three-wheeled electric trike. I was tha man when I brought it to the playground.
I made a go-kart once, from an old baby carriage. I used it only once, we don't have many hills where I live. Still, the build of it was good fun. Nowadays, I'm driving my mom's Nissan. A 100NX. Fun to drive. http://pictures.autotrader.nl/servlet/media?id=14947264 |
