Your band shirt sucks
See, I don't really have that big of a beef with band shirts, its just that nowadays they look really, really stupid. Especially these emo douchebags with their tight shirts with "ironic" and ridiculously cryptic phrases or references. Whatever happened to the black or white T-Shirt with the band name and slogan displayed prominently? No hoodies, no supertight shirts, no long sleeves with a bunch or superfluous crap scrawled on the sleeves.
I'm sorry, but whenever I see one of these shirts I want to throttle the pretentious asshole wearing it. Edit:This could go in WPYO, but I figure that it might spawn more responses here. |
I can't actually remember a complaint of yours that was ever quite so trivial… Would the Piss You Off thread really have limited your rage so much?
|
I have some band t-shirts but they have sleeves and their not tight, but they are of some pretty old bands with some cryptic phrases like "when freedom comes knocking, you better start rocking."
|
Heh, kind of agree with Max here. T-shirt designs? I think the WPYO thread would have sufficed for your venting. But I don't feel the need to merge.
I think this sort of thing applies to most clothing. A lot of styles of different apparel types look stupid. Band shirts are no different. Some of the goofy phrases and weird sleeves look great. Others don't. Who cares? Besides, nothing is more boring that a plain shirt with just a band name on it. Hoodies are super comfy and warm. Do not mock the hoody! |
yeah their great in the winter them hoodies but I see alot of people wearing them now, and where I live the weatherman predicted the heat would cause alot of fatalities
|
I care. Because the only thing worse than a fan of a band that makes me wish I didn't have ears is a fan wearing a shirt in support of the band that makes me wish I didn't have eyes. People go to trendy stores and spend a ton of money to look like retarded trend whores. In a side rant, the only good shirt Hot Topic ever made was the Not Man shirt.
|
I only buy the simplest of band shirts. I have a few Radiohead ones with their artwork (which is amazing) on it.
I am currently wearing a Massive Attack shirt that simply has the band name and their logo on it. I only buy shirts off official sites too. Or occasionally Ebay. |
Yeah, but if you take shipping and junk into account, you're usually going to spend the same or very close to the same amount anyway. I guess I just don't care where I get my clothes as long as I like them. Hmm, I was about to say I'm positive that I've never bought a band t-shirt from Hot-Topic, simply because I don't like any of them enough to buy, but I did buy this weird little thin shirt that just had blocks of the Ramones' heads repeating. It was on clearance, so why not?
Again, the whole trendy store garbage applies to all clothing. That's just how things go. Don't wet your un-trendy pants over it. :p Buying a slightly over-priced and ugly band t-shirt is far better than people who spend over $100 on a pair of pants that already has holes in it or buys a purse for $300. Heh, I have at least one friend who does that and I find her rather silly. |
Statikk HDM - Stop kicking up shit over nothing. Please. I really don't care! If people want to look stupid let them. Please. It's a lot more fun for the rest of us if they don't realise.
|
What the **** am I supposed to do? Post about my interests and have them be ignored? Ranting is the only thing people give a damn about at this site anymore.
|
No; it's the only thing you give a damn about. Don't confuse our silence with interest.
|
I've started plenty of good threads here, why is everybody harshing me so much?
|
:
Chill out. At least i like you more than i like Havoc. |
:
Anyway, I don't mind them. If the world didn't have those angsty, fad embracing teenagers, then there wouldn't be an opposite to prevail over it. Your ranting wouldn't be here. |
Yes, The Light Defines the Dark.
I’ve got it written on the T-shirt I’m wearing now. |
