Does anyone know anything about Internet stuffs?

Because my Mozilla is acting up, as is my AIM. I had to reinstall Internet Explorer to get on the Internet. And I can go online, so it's not my connection that's the problem. But whenever I try to sign on to Mozilla it says I need a broadband user name and password, which it hasn't done before. For AIM, it's says the service can't be reached. I don't know what's up with it.

If you can, pleeeease help! It would be much appreciated.

P.S. - Limewire doesn't work either.

Give your provider a call and ask if they can spot any problems from there. It sounds like it's a problem in your modem or your provider.

Make sure your connection settings in Firefox are all correct. Compare them to the ones in IE, if IE works correctly.

How would I go about doing that?

Tools->Options
General tab
Button at the bottom for Connection Settings

Compare to IE:
Tools->Internet Options
Connections tab
Select your connection then click the Settings button

Sounds like a virus to me. I had the same thing.

Reinstall windows?

That would result in lost data and/or settings, would it not? This here be a family computer.

Hmm, yes, they're the same.

It seems that for Mozilla, the programs tries to connect via dial up, which is a connection I don't have. Is there any way to manually set it back to Broadband?
