Schoolwork-Project: My Concert
Hello everyone!
I only got one year left on my school before I get my examination and during this year many students will, as well as I, will do some sort of a project. It's based upon the "basic" subject your working with so, if your studying music like I do, then you've got to do a project related music. I've been thinking through a lot of idea's and I've finaly decided me for to do a concert of my Story "the return of the Steef tribe" an instumental concert based on the feelings of the characters through the chapters. I'll be using instruments like; piano, ukulele, digeridoo, strings, guitars, horns/trumpets, jungle drums and lots of more. But there is one problem though - is this okay to make a concert which's related to Oddworld? Do I have to get permission first? Anyway if you guys think it's illegal then I won't be doing a concert 'bout Oddworld, but with something else instead. Thank you, ~DS~ |
I wouldn't know about it, but I'm pretty sure you have to get permission from Oddworld somehow. But it probably wouldn't be impossible to do. Is that what every student in Sweden does? Is it like a senior project?

Well, it's generally what many music students do worldwide.
I'd go ahead with it, I'm sure OWI would promote it methinks. |

if its only for your school then you wont need permission but if your doing it in like a proper theatre then you will need permission

Yeah and it's only for my school. I may write down some notes on papers and show 'em to my teachers, but that's only if I need help or if I'm 'bout to play it for them.
Anyway, it seems like I could start composing right now but I jus' got a few questions: do somebody have/can or know how to write didgeridoo notes? It looks like this: http://img.2dehands.nl/f/normal/13087921.jpg I haven't played such an instrument before and if someone did know then tell me, please. ~DS~ |
I think with didgeridoos you just wing it. It's like a kazoo in that respect. I assume you know how to play it?
