Need help with xbox

My xbox keeps flashing green then red when you turn it on and it will say you need to call the support service. When this doesn't happen and I put in a game it almost always locks up while its loading a game except for Fable which will act very weird when it's load lke random black spots will apper all over the landscape or the camara will zoom around very strangely (Expecally around the gates to Burrowstone) This really sucks since I was going to buy Fable: The Lost Chapters at the end of the week and of course my xbox has to break right before then. The xbox is almost three years old but I have alot of save data on the hard drive that I don't want to lose!

Have you tried calling the support service?

Duh!

Duh!

My xbox isn't under warranty anymore so odds are if I call they'll just tell me to buy a new new one or and if it was under warranty they'ed just tell me to send it in and they will ship me a new which means I will still lose all my saved data!

Try googling for your problem. Ods are that you may find the answer on some tech forum.

I had a problem with my Xbox. Luckily I fixed it with out the having to send it in. Go to the Xbox support site and go to live chat, it is quick and easy.

They won't necessarily tell you to bring it in. They may well be able to tell you how to fix it over the phone.

Seeing as that's what support lines are for...

On the support screen look in the corners and you should see some symbols/numbers. When my Xbox broke the numbers was '00' i think.

Then go to Google and type 'Xbox codes, 00, 01, 02' or something like that and you should get taken to a site that has the meanings.

'00' for instance is broken Hardrive.

I did google it but it really didn't help me much most of it said if you don't send it they'll tell you what you need to replace then in I'm going to have to take my xbox apart which I'll most likely break whatever is inside while I'm at it and I'll have to pay a buttload of money for whatever part it needs.....but I'm going to have to pay a buttload of money for a new Xbox too.

And it says 21, which means from what the site said that anything is wrong with it. I've tried reseting the xbox and stuff but like I said before the game will play for a few minutes and freeze then the message will come up or the game wont play at all.

Then again, Xboxes are relatively cheap nowadays, if repairing proves to be that difficult/expensive.

Try a lens cleaning disk, that's what fixed my PlayStation, howver your problems sound more like the drivers inside the 'Box.
