I'd say you could. I'd love to see them, and so would many others.

If I'm not mistaken, there should be a fairly easy method of ripping the movies from the disc and then simply using veedub to create an image of every frame in the cinametic. Just a thought, I haven't really tried it.

We were discussing it in another thread recently. If you can find a way to rip the FMVs from the disc, we shall make a golden idol of your countenance and set up the Church of Killy here in the forums.

I did them myself. I also did the shots of Stranger's wrath.

I like seeing the AO screenies, but I'm just wondering what this is about.

Heh, I don't have AO but I do have AE. I don't know how you go about making these screenshots - if you're working on every single frame in the FMV or if you're selecting a random frame. In any case, this seems to work just fine and you're doing a good job. What struck me was that people might be looking for a variation in the screenshots (like gestures, stances, weird faces etc.) when they're trying to create sigs and whatnot. It might be a good idea to take this one step further.

I suppose they're easy enough to get. Play it on the computer then press the print screen button. Then paste it somewhere. Simple, no?
Maybe this could be a request thread for some particular shots.

I would like some more detailed pics of the Shrykull, really, because they lightning there gets in the way a bit. Just wondering. Don't have to, but I'd appreciate a good angle of it, maybe mainly of its head?

Zerox do you mean a Shrykull pic in-game or CG? I've got AE for the PC and I could get you a pic, easy peasy simple pimple.

I'm not sure if print screen works on video formats, they usually give you a black screen when pasting, but it's worth a try. In any case, I'm gonna go ahead and rip my AE disc.

I've print screened with the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vault maps on Abe's Exoddus, and they worked fine, they were brighter than usual, as the game is darker than my computer's resolution for some strange reason.

Just do it within this thread. We really don't need another thread for something like this.

One way to rip videos is to plug the cables from the console into a digital video camera and hit record. My brother put together a whole disk of his favourite game movies using this highly illegal method.

Maybe because it's PS1 not Xbox... I don't know.


My way was to record it on my harddisk, to burn it on an empty DVD and to do the shots with a little computer program... a bit complicated... but it works anway :D

I'm not sure about this, if the transfer method is lossy you'll end up having a low-quality recording in comparison to the original files.

I rip directly from the game discs using the PSXmc utility. That way, I don't have to worry about quality loss. After that, I use Vdub to save every frame as a picture.
