What do you guys do for jobs and stuff?

I've recently just finished an Art & Design BTEC 1st Diploma course at college and am now in the job market.

World domination. Obviously.

When I'm not at home on the net I'm studying for a marketing degree. I work part time at an Australian football league club helping out organising promotions, and I'm casual for a really poor department store. Other then that I occasionally coach some youngsters in long distance running but don't get paid for it.

If you're asking for any job advice, I'd say you'd do well doing artwork for a small advertising agency, and work your way up from there. I'm kind of assuming a first diploma in England is worth the same as down here in oz.

I am a professional freelance artist. I graduated with an Illustration degree about year ago and well it is hard for Illustrators to get jobs in the field. I guess I am liveing in the wrong place. As a freelancer I think I am going to start my own T-Shirt business designing T-Shirts for tourist in high tourist like places, like Howaii, Florida or the Carabean. I definitly see myself opening up a shop down there. Plus my T-Shirts will be custom made no Screen Printing, all Airbrushed which I do best! Also if the T-Shirt thing is successful I will start a whole line of action and fantasy comics aswell.

I don't work yet, but I do have some jobs I really fancy.
I wanted to go in to a college of computer graphic arts, study there, and hopefully I can work with some game company still alive, and create their characters for them.
There's an alternative; go in to culinary school, and if it's still alive when I'm older, join in on Hell's kitchen. Sure, Chef Ramsey might be as yelly as a drill sergeant, but it would be an honor to work for him. :fuzblink:

I study Robotics Engineering and Computer Science.

I work in an electronics store whenever they give me hours.

I sleep a lot.

I'm going to become a detective and my BROTHER is going to become a chef or a baseball star....which ever one he wants :)

I am still at School. But I work part-time at Starbucks.

I used to work as a film director, but I finished my project, so now I'm a journalist for the 'teen section' of my local newspaper. I'm currently looking for a real job.

I write, make art and play games for my hobbies mainly. Job wise, I'm a 'freelance predator caretaker'. Though I'm currently not working because I'm redoing my livingroom and don't have time for it (Ha! Prolly the only one on this forum who can say he doesn't have TIME to WORK! :D).

Anybody with half a brain knew that. Anyways I'd love to be a Detective.

I currently do very little, I'm off school right now, but going back in September. I have no job.

The sheer stupidity of that post makes me realize why SeaRex gets so upset sometimes.

I do farm work every now and then for a little cash. It's not bad, IMO. I am thinking about getting a job over at a retirement home. I have a friend that lives near there and claims he's going to work there. So I can probably get an application form from him.
