myspace generation
What has this generation accomplished, I mean all we do today is look to the past for entertainment what will today be remebered for?

Scene kids & emo children. Terrible music. Screamo bands. Pop-Punk revolution. Tom [myspazz Tom]. Drugs. Alcohol. Cigerettes. Wars. Terrible politics. The internet.
That's what we'll be remembered for. - Rexy |
I agree with Rexy.
And **** Myspace, **** it in the ass. Sorry, I had to get that out. |
Whenever I hear MySpace, I hear EMO! So whenever I see some depressed guy on the street, I ask him what his MySpace name is :p.
Seriously though, I realy need to get an account there, just so I can get my frustrations out on these people. Yea that would be awsome. It would be like, what I do to the morons on this forum, but on a bigger scale! Oh it will be so sweet XD. Okay I'm ranting, shoot me. |
I cann't stand the self obsession some people on Myspace have. The Emos in perticular. I admit I have a Myspace and its all about me, not what I make up to be popular.
I know everyone in my friends list too except major bands, how many people on Myspace can acutally say that! |
:
I must admit, our generation is gonna be known for promiscuity and self-absorbed idiocy. It's a dang ol' shame. But yeah. Myspace is fun, although it eats my soul. |

This entire thread is inane and stupid. You don’t have a clue. Every generation thinks their time and their achievements are shit. That’s just what people do. Wait until we’re all dead to see how we’re remembered. This thread is so stupid. You’re talking about massive things and just reduce it to: “I mean all we do today is look to the past for entertainment.” Give me a ****ing break. And you're all going along with it! Jesus... And yeah, MySpace is a pile of shit. |

If you think a topic is stupid then don't post in it, wise ass.
|
I was gonna delete the above post with the off-topic crap, but instead I'll second it.
|
Second what exactly? Havoc wasn't saying we're off-topic, he's saying if I dislike the thread I shouldn't post in it. Despite I am the person who has put more thought into this thread than anybody else. Whatever. Delete this too, but just so you know...
|
Your first post in the topic was clearly thoughtful and relevant and I commend you on it. However, general insults and the other crap belong in PM's, not here.
|
Aw, i like Myspace, it allows me to keep in touch with people i can't be bothered to talk to.
And also, it allows me to bask in the fake ideal of popularity and being accepted and loved. Yes. |
I wasn't aware it was called the 'MySpace Generation'. How hideously geeky. :B

Electing the worst president twice, not by votes but with apathy
Shitty and utterly forgettable musical trends like "nu metal" and anything ending in -mo. Having the best electrical entertainment like internet, the video and computer game boom. Knowing worthless shit but being unable to say name the president of an important country in world affairs and U.S. relations, just being generally ignorant of important political happenings. Though blogging and other things may change that. The amount of things you read like " 58 percent of U.S. students couldn't find North Korea or their own ass with both hands and a map" is pretty disturbing. |
My gf set me up on myspace about a month ago, and I can't understand why you're all associating it with emos. I have around 30-40 peeps and none of them are like that. Sure there are emos on there, but so are a lot of other stereotypes. The emos probaly just exploit the use of bulletins and blogs the most, that's all.

What we'll be remembered for? Ha! The Earth is a pointless lump that should not exist. It really obstructs my view of Venus. Why can't the Sun just burn out and die already! This Earth should have been destroyed a long time ago.

Go to MySpace, emo.

Project Offset?
And in my experience, grades have been no measure of intellegence. So PO, smellster. And this is spam. So I'll give my 50th of a dollar on the subject. I think our generation is narcissistic and spoiled, at least in America. The fact that movie stars can become singers fashion designers and dirty trashwhores can become famous for their trashwhore-ery sickens me. I think this is more the 'Paris Hilton Generation' than the myspace one. The focus people have on fame and extravagence is absolutely twisted. For an example of such things, watch MTV's 'Cribs', or, even worse, 'My Sweet 16'. Yeah. |
It still gives you no reason to call me an idiot.
