Oddworld Earthquakes?
While I was playing SW,I was at the dock running towards the Grubb graveyard, and the ground started shaking.Does anyone know what this was?
|
Huh. I've never seen the game shake like an earthquake anywhere. Sounds like a glitch. Was it the screen that was shaking, or were things falling over?
|
It was just the screen
|
I've seen weird stuff like that in oddworld games before, I've seen characters in the older games disappear

Yep. In AO, everything was glitchy, and Abe was walking on nothing! 'Twas quite cool 'til the came cracked up and crashed...
|
It's probably your screen trying to adjust. I get that a lot
on my computer so it's nothing to be remotely worried about. |
I also remember the time in AO when a Slog went right through a wall and killed me! I was so annoyed. Stupid glitchy Free Fire Zone.
|
The screen does shake when there are cave-ins behind you, but there aren't any there. The screen also shakes when you gallop, but I'm sure you aren't stupid enough to be referring to that.
...are you? |

Thankyou for reinstating my faith in humanity, if only temporarily.
Sounds like a glitch that perhaps should have been posted in the glitches thread. I remember one from SW, galloping along the tunnels from Elboze Freely, and around the corner the world had not loaded! I smashed into nothingness and Stranger did an animation I had never seen before: he kind of leaped into the air sank to the ground and did a sort of roll before lying flat, splayed out across the non-floor. Odd. |

Well, one time in the Brewery, Abe was using one of the lifts, and he made the hand motions to go up, and then it started going up, but Abe stayed in mid air as the lift continued to go up! |
wow thats queer.

I'm closing this as we have a perfectly good Glitches thread for this sort of thing.
