New OT Moderator Nominations
 

It has become apparent recently that Off-Topic Discussion could do with another Moderator to assist SeaRex, Rich, and myself, as all three of us have multiple tasks and forums to manage. So, we are now opening nominations for another Moderator.

Conditions

• Must be registered for over a year (before 6th/07/2005).
• Must have more than 200 posts.
• Must have been active within the last two weeks.
• Must not have been banned before.

Rules

• You may nominate yourself or someone else.
• If you are nominated by someone else, you must post in this thread and accept your nomination, otherwise it will not be considered.
• You may not "overly" promote yourself, although a comment in a sig is fine, but topics asking for people to vote for you, etc are not allowed.

Nominations will be open for one week (until July 13), after which a vote by private message will be held, running for a period of one week.

We didn't need to know that. This thread is for nominations and any discussions about the need/want/etc of another Moderator. Cluttering the thread will only make my job more timely when it comes to tallying.

Havoc or Rexy as they are both constantly helping me by telling me of things that need doing in OT.

That proposition would be fine except for one little bloch on my resume. Yeah, umm, remeber back in december, mods, when I called the Xbox 360 a sex toy? Yeah, it kinda got me banned for a week. It feels so ironic now as I was thinking of the Wii and not the 360.

Anywho, if I had to choose at least three people that I think would be great to run OT, I would choose Mutual Friend, Ambi, or Kimon.

I'm not legible for this, I've only been here since late April of this year. I know, seems like a lifetime.

As for Used being banned... who cares? Does that really matter? Seems a little unfair. He's quite obviously a reformed character.

But please no Havoc. Have you people READ his posts on the off-topic forum?! If Havoc became moderator I'd be banned from this place within a week! A week, people!

It seems like every summer we have these elections/selections. I remember the last one where Dino was complaining about Stingbee and Conker Rocket which later sparked a staff reformation.

You driving me crazy and you deserving warnings are two diffrent things. I always moderate fairly. I may hate your guts, but I never abuse my moderator position. And besides, I can't ban you without the rest of the staff team agreeing to it anyway. So you won't have to worry your fuzzy little head about that :).

I was merely questioning your suitability as an OT moderator, which is entirely relevant to this topic.

Do you actually do any moderating in OH? That place needs cleaning up whenever I go there. Seriously, it's pointless topics capital of the universe.

But I'd also like the job, so I can stop PMing Luke with random things I notice and do them myself. :p I've probably screwed myself over with recent events, but to err is human.

MF, if Havoc gets the job, he still won't be able to ban anyone.

All of the warnings will still have to come through me, and to a lesser extent, Alcar, before a full ban is put into effect.

I'd like to vote for someone but due to the fact i don't really no anyone well i will leave it, maybe next time.

I'm putting in my vote for the lovely Rexy.

And also, me. I fit the conditions, so why not? :)

This is a very difficult decision on my part. Yet, I think there is one person who stands out the most

I will nominate AquaticAmbi. She has every moderator ability I can think of. If she is bugging Luke to do something in a topic, she has the moderating ability. She also tells people moderator advice, even though isn't one. In fact, she was the first one to tell me to desize my old signature. Ambi is also commited to post in anything non-Oddworld related topic. I don't think I have ever seen her post in Zulag 1, or even the bottom half of Zulag 2.

My hope is that Ambi gets the OT moderator posistion. She deserves better than being a simple common member.

I nominate Abeguy. Only because it would drop the forum into a dark era of dumbosity and give me lots of excuses and opportunities to be a jerk. A funny jerk, mind you. Don't you ever forget how damn funny I am.
