No Backwards Compatibility on 360 still!
 

It came to my attention just the other day since I recently got a 360 I was testing out most of my old games from Xbox and to my shock Munch's Oddysee is still not backwards compatible!

I came across the topic a long time ago and dug up this one http://www.oddworldforums.net/showth...+Compatibility that had some brief flames appear, but I was just wondering is there something we can do about it? Petition, emails to Microsoft. I find it extremely disappointing that one of the original flagship titles/lauch titles of Xbox is not even playable on 360 yet. I think also the loyal fanbase here for Oddworld deserves some sort of notice from either OWI or Microsoft as to why a game that even made it into the platinum hits and was successful in terms of sales backwards compatible. Similarly Stranger's Wrath which seemed to be a little more in the dark to the public, but none the less deserves way more respect than Barbie's horse adventures.

I know the problem, and I'm glad you brought this back...
I send them an email every 2 months but I never got any feedback.
Plus some dude at the head of the Xbox360 program said the backward compatibility was only a marketing point, that now that many people has bought the 360 it wasn't that intresting for them anymore...

on the ther hand they say they are still working on it but I have less and less faith

Marketing point? Ugh. Like I said man I find it extremely disappointing that a game that sold so much and was plastered up by microsoft back in the day like Halo can't even be recoded or whatever by them. It's probably easier than they let on too. Here's to hoping though.

I guess they don't see the point now, but they are still working on convertions so I guess there's still a bit hope yes :p

Eh, I never really liked the 360. Seemed just like Xbox 1.00000002
