Well, technically this is only a location for Oddworld games questions.

But anyway, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds (I'm working from memory here on Win2000 but I think that's right) and you can choose sounds for all the different system events. You want to change the one for 'Start Windows'. But it can probably only take .wav files.

there is a windows 98 theme in abe's oddysee, you could use the sounds from that theme, the way nate said. by the way nate i think there is a windows patch that allows it to play mp3 along with wavs for system events.i do not know where anyone can find it though,i have had windows xp for years now

Alright, alright. You go to
My Computer > Abe's Oddysee drive C or wherever you put it > Right-click, choose OPEN instead of AUTOPLAY. > Desktop Theme. So that the files wouldn't mess up when you take the disc out, copy them and put them in a separate file. Then do what that other guy said and change all your settings.]

Providing, of course, that you have the PC version.

That's what you meant, I hope?

And there's also a whole bunch of other interesting stuff on the CD. Like the MS-DOS version of AO, which is all black and white and the right shift doesn't work.
