A Grand Experiment (AGE)
 

Here's the deal. I'm going to write a short section of a story, then you guys say what you want to happen and why. Then I'll write the next bit. I apologise for any spelling or grammar mistakes.
Any complaints or comments are welcome.
Also, the character will probably never be described. Sorry about that.
Finally, I don't know how or when this will end, but I'll only write the next bit as I'm about to post.

A Grand Experiment

You wake up in darkness, and carefully push yourself up from the floor.
The floor is dusty, aside from where you were. In front of you is a solid black wall that continues the room around you like a large cube.
Examining the room, you see a box made of a similar material as the walls, and an extremely out of place looking metal table.
Behind you is a closed door. You turn towards it. From the other side of this door comes the sound of movement. You freeze, and whatever is on the other side of the door attempts to open it.
As you remain still, the handle moves franticaly, almost opening twice before whatever it is gives up.

You let out a breath, and move towards the box. The door cracks in it's frame as the creature smashes into it.

By your best guess, it'll take at least two more hits for the door to break.
What do you do?

1) Hide.
2) Prepare to fight.
3) Prepare to run past the creature.
4) Open the box.

I remember a looooong time ago a member tried something like this in Fancorner. It wen't ok for a while but eventually he started getting less and less readers till he had to give it up.

Anyway, this sounds interesting, lets hope it does a little better.

I vote 1) Hide.

Interesting idea you have here. An interactive story. I like this idea.

I say 4) Open the Box!

This is Bad-arse! Great idea!

I vote 3) Run past the Creature.

Like Splat, I too, vote for 1)hide.

I'll wait a little longer, just to see what other responses I get. It's good to see this hasn't bombed as bad as Splat said it might....
