Quake 4
Has anyone else purchased this game? If so, what do you think of it?
I think it's an average/good-ish game. Pros: One of the few shooters on 360, you get to fight the Strogg again, Story's good, Especially the part between Acts 1 and 2. No wonder it has a rating of 18 +. And of course, cool weapons. Cons: Doom 3 engine (It's like, the third game with the D3 Engine (Doom 3, Q4 and that upcoming game Prey), although Prey doesn't seem to be an exact copy of Doom 3), more of the same, NO 4 PLAYER SPLIT SCREEN! I mean, come on! |
I downloaded a demo from Xbox Live a couple weeks ago, I didn't like it much. I only ever liked the 2nd one (I think). I used to have a demo of it on my old computer. Oh the joys of Windows 95.

Heh, the full version of Q2 comes with the 360 version of Q4 :P Whilst PC owners must buy the collectors Edition.

I didn't really like Quake 4. It was fun the first 2 levels but then it just became a mindless shoot-out. The only parts I liked in the game were when you were in the Hannibal (both times) and when you became a Strogg. The Stroggification part could've been allot more impressive though. All he did was get some steroids in his belly, lost his legs for a new pair and got the Strogg chipped stabbed into him. The rest was just REALLY lazy as all that happened was he got armour the molded onto him. The dissapearing corpses was damn lazy too :|.
/End of rant. |
No, they were recycled to make Stroyent :P.
|
Couldn't they have done something less unreal and boring? Like fleshy parts of them slowly melt and some remains of machines sat their and fizzled constantly?
|
would a human body do that? Remember, there's organic material in there. THAT wouldn't be more realistic. Ever seen organic material just melt away (besides nukes, that is)?
|
No, but I've never seen one turned green and transparent then vanish either. -.-
|
They have been teleported away. :P
