Oddworld Sightings
Hi, I'm new to the Oddworld Forums. This has been bugging me for years, and I wondered if anyone else saw this, or if I just imagined it. Once when I was watching a TV show called "Without a Trace", it showed a clip from Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee on someone's TV. It was the scene where the Mudokons push Abe into the well. Has anyone else seen Oddworld/Oddworld related things in unusual places?

First ep of "Game Over". Enough said.

Hi Hamster of Death. Welcome to OWF. Please post your questions in the question and answer IV in the future.
|
This is more of a question that asks for a little discussion, yours were kind of yes or no. I don't mean to insult you or your topics or anything, I was just saying threads like these are okay outside the Q=A section.

Welcome to the Forums! No, I have not seen Oddworld in any weird places. That's cool that you saw that, do you know if we can find it on the internet? |

Not when they do it through pointless flaming and ill explained criteria.

Ahem. Oddworld sightings in other media? Anyone? Please don't detract from poor Hampster's question, and actualy gave some answers.
I haven't seen such a thing before, but I do occasionaly see Without A Trace. So, I'll watch out for that, thanks. |
Hmmm. I've never seen Oddworld in any other type of media either but if I see anything I'll let you know. Can you tell me which episode of Without A Trace it was in?
|
Didn't Zoolander have a refrence to Oddworld? If you look at the Refrenced In place on IMDB's Abe's Oddysee page, it said they did.
|
someone once told an Oddworld moon was featured in a simpson game...
i'm still waiting for the screenshot :p |
I can't remember specifically which episode it was, but it was definitely in the first season. I can't even remember the plot from that episode, but when they were searching a house, there was somebody watching that scene from Munch's Oddysee on a TV.

To Hamster of Death: I don't think I saw many episodes in the first season so I probably missed it. |
Yes! There was one yesterday. Comedy Hour on BBC Radio 2, about Meatloaf, who apparently, is "half oaf, half Meetle".

Ah yes... not sure for those of you not in the USA, but here in the '90s MTV used to run freaky animated stuff late at night. Claymation, anime snippets, and random independent cartoons and stuff. Well, in '97, shortly after I convinced my parents to buy me Abe's Oddysee, they showed the entire opening RuptureFarms video on MTV! It was kind of eerie, I wasn't expecting it at all... Afterwards I decided to play AO some more. And died a lot. :P

I've seen some things that look like Paramite webs around......
|
Yeah. Bolamite webs.
